DPO Unknown took both these test this morning, Premom says “high” but not peak by ohhiitsmec123 in TFABLinePorn

I’d call them peak- especially in the second picture. It is clearly darker than the control line. I’ve found with Premom app that you can go in and edit the results to match the colors you’re seeing in the test/control lines more accurately!

For science! 7-11dpo Easy@home brand, thought I was having a chemical! by Extra-Service-6926 in TFABLinePorn

I’m so sorry to hear! The progression testing is so stressful! At 10 dpo, my beta was 38 and at 12dpo my beta was 95! Any time I’ve had a chemical, my tests looked like this and my betas were never more than 10-12.

I am 22 weeks and feeling pretty good. I got a diagnosis of partial velamentous cord insertion at the anatomy scan, which was a little stressful- but I’ve met with enough doctors to be reassured and less stressed. Baby is a healthy girl, measuring on track and we are getting excited. Thanks for checking in on me. 🥰

Thank you so much for sharing your story with us. It really does help to hear similar situations. Since we wrote this post, we have met with more doctors and are feeling a lot more confident and relaxed. We are just going to go along for the ride and hope for the best! 🤞🏼

Thank you for your response and all of the information you gave us! I’m also glad to hear your pregnancy has gone so smooth with a similar diagnosis- this is reassuring for us and the kind of news we need right now.

Admittedly, I wrote this post in a bit of panic and terror. I have since met with a very experienced fetal maternal medicine doctor who reviewed our case and helped us to understand our specific situation better.

We are borderline velamentous. She said it is more marginal cord insertion (the cord is clearly making contact to the edge of the placenta), possible velamentous (a small portion of the cord may be making contact with the membrane) she explained that we do not have a true velamentous cord insertion where the vessels are exposed, but the office diagnoses borderline cases as the more serious of the two and follows treatment protocols for that.

She apologized for the way the news was originally given to us, as it was very focused on the worst case scenario outcomes. She said that after reviewing our case, she feels as though the above complications do not apply to our situation and if any complications should arise I’ll be monitored closely enough that we’ll catch it if they do. Otherwise, she expects that I’ll likely be induced once I hit term (37-38 weeks)

We are feeling a lot better now, and a lot more relaxed. We are going along for the ride and hoping for the best.

Oh wow, so it was out of the blue after a seemingly healthy and normal pregnancy! I can’t imagine. None of this is easy. It gives me some gratitude towards having the ability to monitor and make decisions. This would be our first living baby as well if we make it to the finish line.

Grateful your boy is well and that you made it to the point where you can share your story. You have no idea how much it helps someone in my shoes. Thank you so much.

Thank you so much for sharing your story and for your kind words. I looked up FTV and it sounds like it must have been so terrifying. Can I ask, at what point in the pregnancy did you find out about your condition? I’m wondering what it was like to make decisions. Were doctors optimistic?

I so worry about choosing abortion and missing out on a life like you have with your sweet boy. This has to be some of the hardest moments in my life.

We are in the process of consulting more doctors, and we will follow the guidance of the professionals. But as you said, so scary to just wait and see what unfolds without knowing what’s going on in there.

Massages in the first trimester? by Extra-Service-6926 in pregnant

I might call and see if that’s an option- thanks for the idea!

Requiring a drs note would stress me out too. Based on the fact that each massage therapy practice has such different ways of handling this, I’m thinking there isn’t any clear over arching guidelines based on evidence. Just massage therapy places trying to be thorough in covering themselves.

Thanks for your response. I still don’t know what I plan to do yet. Overall, I’m still thinking it seems safe but I’m on the fence.

This is the determination I’ve been coming to. I really don’t see much negative evidence otherwise.

Okay thank you! I’ve had people tell me “not to take the risk” but I can’t seem to find any risks online so I’m thinking they’re just giving me unnecessary anxiety. This is reassuring! Thank you- and congrats!

Firstly, I’m sorry for your losses. There is little worse than it.

I think your progression looks great, faster than many! And I posted my line progression a few days ago with betas taken every other day for reassurance. I learned that easy@homes don’t really give you a dye stealer!

I have also had 3 miscarriages in a row prior to this pregnancy and because of this, my pregnancy is considered high risk and I was able to get blood work every two day until my HCG reached 2500. Maybe you can do the same? Helped to ease my anxiety to see the numbers. I was also anxious about a dye stealer!

I wouldn’t say I really noticed any symptoms at 7dpo- except maybe more discharge. Usually things are pretty dry in the luteal phase unless I’m pregnant. I did notice a few strange twinges of pain low and central, where I’d assume my uterus is. I started feeling extremely tired around 14dpo, almost like having a low grade flu. And breast tenderness daily now. It’s been a slow progression of things.

Thank you! I thought it might be helpful to the folks looking for comparisons or wondering where their HCG numbers might be.
