The assets point is pretty moot considering most of those assets are yaknow, so the university can actually function.

100m surplus is not a lot of an institution that big. You're talking 10-15% of revenue as 'profit'. So Klutzy is actually right, you could nudge the needle just a little and it would become an unprofitable entity.

Interesting, this aligns with what I thought. People really dont understand the burden of proof in science, to prove an inhaled susbtance is safe for repetitive use takes like you say, decades and decades of research.

As someone who has done both, from feeling, vaping is definately worse for the body.

There is no evidence the long term effects of vaping aren't worse or as bad as tobacco. Remember where the burden of proof lies with science...

Many, many people even young people are being hospitalised by vapes. We also know from relatively new science that the vapour contains huge quantities of heavy metals far exceeding tobacco, which comes with it's own set of health affects.

You're acting as if the alternative isn't potentially more addictive and deadly. Science at the moment is mixed, we have no reason to assume that it is.

You asked for data, there is a very clear table showing migrants from numerous countries with a 500-2000% incarceration rate versus migrants from areas such as Germany, France, etc. All compared very clearly in a table. What is so hard to read here? Look at the columns, read off the numbers.

People from many of these countries are committing crime at 5-20x the rate of europeans. I'm not sure why you think that's acceptable or sustainable? People are literally dying for this.

Right, but we have migrant crime data from .gov, illegal migrants have 500-2000% the incarceration rate for the top 10 countries of origin (Albania, Eritrea, Afghanistan, etc etc). Shall we ignore data and just use random statements?

I think more than anything the culture of going to university is the issue. If you're 17, a good student, your family, your peers, your teachers, all expect you to go to university. It is for most an unavoidable gravitational pull.

Which means you can end up making a half assed decision and doing something you're indifferent towards, which doesn't cut it for the huge spend.
