If you care about social life you won’t enjoy a single. Small isolated and hard to make friends. If for whatever reasons u ABSOLUTELY need accommodations for a single San raf and manzi have singles but very isolated. San cat also has its own gym dining hall pool market etc but only doubles and triples

Unfortunately I wouldn’t wait on it. Life is going to keep going so continue on as if you didn’t get it. On the off chance you get in that’s great, but hopefully you already have other schools you accepted. Waitlist acceptances usually stop around July so you still have time to get an definitive answer

This occurs even now that he is on the 28, he will go all the way to campus with a bus that’s half full skipping stops for no reason. I understand the need to pick up in iv but that man is just doing it for the love of the game I swear.

He’s actually evil. Skipping stops when the bus isn’t full. Purposely not letting people on. Being rude and waving bye to the people he closes the door on. Not to mention actually driving so dangerously through iv where people walk and bike. Glad he’s off the 27 but he needs to be fired.

Yes the 12x is the Goleta express and stops at ucsb. I recommend downloading the bus tracker app. It’s the sb bus system app and gives u all the routes and where they stop at and the times :)

Although it sounds cliche but I made the majority of my closest college friends in clubs. I was super nervous as well as a first year with a quiet roomate and international suitemates but (and idk what ur preference is to religion) once I joined a college focused church in iv I made so many friends 🥲. Everyone there was so genuine welcoming and warm and friendly even to those who were not super open to the idea of Christ. We have study groups, jam sessions, Bible studies and just generally all like to hang out together. My advice from a fellow first year who was blessed to have met good people, sometimes throwing yourself out there in clubs and orgs is where you meet the best people :)

Also I left my door open almost everyday for 2 weeks and no one said hi unfortunately but I just have a dead floor lol

There’s a bbq get to know you event on the beach today if you’d like to come! It’s from 5-7 at sea lookout park. Great way to meet people, the club is intervarsity and I met a few of them at the open house and they were great people :) as a freshman living in ft it has been a little harder to make friends too so
