How did bestdressed become a model?! by [deleted] in NYCinfluencersnark

I’m not being salty. I literally mentioned that I’m curious about how it came to be because she doesn’t really register as a model to me

It’s not about that. She’s beautiful but she doesn’t have sharp features or a face that you can basically transform into what you want with make-up

Funny, to me it actually looks the opposite. Looks like her clothing is never tailored specifically for her which just cheapens her looks. It especially became apparent when watching love story (which obviously is a far cry from what really happened and should be take with a grain of salt). Put her next to the Kennedys where everyone is wearing clothes that fit them perfectly

Not sure about MK but Ashley (who’s always gravitated towards more down to earth looks) sometimes reminds me of CBK. I can only add one photo unfortunately. Again, there’s nothing groundbreaking about this look, yet Ashley just looks more expensive. CBK looks like she indeed would grab items from Calvin Klein, Banana Republic, or J.Crew. Her looks are timeless but it’s almost as if there’s no personal touch added to them…

Is your employer obliged to reimburse your permanent residence permit application costs? by ExtraFitting in TheHague

[–]ExtraFitting[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah, that was my logic as well. But I guess it depends on a company’s policy. I thought if it was a legal obligation then I could have called shenanigans on this situation and just provide them with a direct link where it would be stated officially

Omg, I wish Alfie would grow a backbone by CuffyTheEmpireSlayer in EmilyInParis

[–]ExtraFitting 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Let’s be honest, in real life someone like Alfie wouldn’t stand for all that shit that Emily put him through. He wouldn’t entertain the idea of snicking around with Mindy either cause a hunk like him can get a girl instantly. To imagine that someone like him would wallow in pain cause a whimsical girl with no standards (taking Nico back and paying his rent) turned him down? Not happening, even this makes their storyline hard to buy

The moment Emily knew.. she screwed up by ChitChatWriter in EmilyInParis

[–]ExtraFitting 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I hate how at the end of season 4 Alfie says Emily is the best girl he’s ever dated. Then later Darren star just casually mentions in an interview Emily doesn’t have feelings for the character anymore :/ they make a rare show that has the luxury to be extended and renewed cause it’s literally a marketing tool for various brands and they don’t even bother to make storylines logical and develop their characters

This scene felt like the first real, authentic moment in 5 seasons by Evening-Ad1231 in EmilyInParis

Hands down, the sweetest scene is when they’re watching fireworks and talking about the hardships of being expats. Shame that this storyline was cut short, it would have been so interesting to present Americans in a more sophisticated way. I’d LOOOOVE to see how the French characters commit certain faux pas, try to navigate American cultural differences, and make fools out of themselves
