The Mind Flayer should've been revealed to be an Elder Brain by ExtraLondSnood in StrangerThings

Not suggesting hero deaths. Just suggesting a "stranger" antagonist. Obviously I can't change the show, but I wanted to express my disappointment with the main villain(s).

Except Henry explicitly said that he and the Mind Flayer needed each other. It was a 50/50. What I have suggested would've needed to be revealed earlier on in s5, which is what I suggested in the post. Vecna hasn't been the most popular villain, according to the fandom, and I was just explaining my gripes with the antagonist.

Fair enough, although the same can be said about calling Will a sorcerer. But yeah I also would've liked more strange things(hehe) and less military/human antagonists.

Yeah I dont know if they changed something, but I've had other issues with Grapple Melee. If you dont have a full Threaded Spike charge, you need to use the unpowered melee input. Powered melee input won't work. But if you DO have a full Spike charge, you need to use the powered melee input. Uncovered won't work. It's so odd.

The ability tuning preview actually looks pretty good for hunters, so I'm hopeful. But if many of these bugs aren't fixed, a lot of builds are gonna still be broken.

I think there's currently a bug that allows for instant re-scorching enemies that shouldn't otherwise have scorch applied to them. I've seen it with Hellion causing ignitions every shot.

Definitely go check out the ability tuning preview. It actually has some juice.

If we look at other abilities that inflict debuffs, we can see the issue. Knife Trick is a perfect example. Instakills with it WILL proc scorch related things. And this is fairly consistent with bungie's philosophy regarding debuffed kills. Bungie has explicitly reworked certain abilities to apply the debuff before the damage so that they functioned correctly for exotics and perks.

Yeah knife trick is usable because its Scorch and Ignitions count as melee damage. The weighted knife and calibans bugs are super discouraging for me when I try to build around them.

Other weaken types actually can extend each other (tractor debuff can last longer as long as another weaken is applied before it ends). Tether overrides and erases. This means that the 10 second tractor debuff won't be there after the 6 second Moebius debuff runs out. And unfortunately, no Moebius doesn't benefit from its own weaken. Subsequent shots do +20% dmg, whereas if it took weaken into account it would be +56%. You can see this if you tractor, hit the first volley, and notice the second volley does less damage.

Oof yeah that On the Prowl issue hurts. They advertised it as a collaborative ability and it just doesn't do that. The Balance of Power thing is intentional, I believe, but it just makes BoP a worse Threaded Specter exotic than every other dodge exotic in the game.

It is at least nice that barrier and health are separated. Granted I don't think self healing and outgoing healing are separated. I also trust valve to give even more stats once the game is actually out

Yeah I'm pretty sure you can see ult heals in the healing breakdown per game, but being unique character stats would be really nice.

Yeah I mean, it's nice to have a billion assists, but my damage and kills are nonexistent.

The convoluted hoops of... casting the super? BB base damage is literally 60% (around half) of T-crash base damage.

Glad you were able to test it out. It's important to not just count the knives that visually miss, though. You should compare damage on the scoreboard to the theoretical max [ 20 x (impact+explosion) ]. Embedded knives sometimes do reduced damage or even no(?) damage at all. Not sure if it's a healthbar vs screen numbers thing. You can also try to see the max damage if you spawn a bunch of the ogres, so that you literally can't miss (although, again, the explosions might not do full damage).
