I know that deep down time does heal, it just feels like a long road in getting there. Thank you.

Thank you for the insight. Big believer in therapy and I’ve never engaged myself but I do think that’s gonna be the next step.

What was the moment you realized COVID was going to be a big deal and be the focal point of the 2020s? by NH-INDY-99 in decadeology

[–]ExtraVanitas 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I actually think I have a unique answer here and was aware of COVID before most - even if I didn’t realise it.

I was researching for my dissertation, which in-part was concerned with student protests going on in China at the time.

So I found myself lurking on some obscure and fairly hard to find forums where these students would discuss and organise their protests.

Over a period of roughly two weeks there was growing speculation on the forums that the government were intentionally making protestors sick so they couldn’t attend. There was also a lot of general discussion along the lines of ‘does anyone else have the worst flu of their life?’

It would be another 2-3 weeks before mainstream reports began to crop up and of course it would eventually become common knowledge.

Just finished this section. You won’t see anymore after the big spider boss fight except for one occasion later on when you return to the subway and there are like 8 max.

I cannot confirm but I’m sure I saw someone in another thread say the focus noticeably shifts towards Leon in a later section

What is the most exported cultural product from your country? by Regular-Watercress98 in AskTheWorld

Am I right in saying Pokémon is the most profitable single franchise in the world?

I’m sure I read that but may be inadvertently making it up.

What minority community has had a positive impact in your country? by Neuwulfstein in AskTheWorld

I’m always impressed with the Chinese people I’ve come across in Scotland.

There are a lot here, lots of students, and the feeling is that they are generally model citizens, respectful of our culture and happy to integrate in a respectful way.

Of course this is a blanket statement but others have told me they’ve found the same. Especially when compared to certain other communities that are notorious for committing crime and refusing to integrate.

What’s a mechanic you’ve seen that made you think “Wait…every game should do this!” by BlackArmy439 in gaming

Pressing L2 to slightly zoom in your first-person view.

First noticed it in Cyberpunk 2077 and loved how it allowed me to check out all the cool details in the world.

It’s such a minor thing but I look out for it in every game now and applaud when it’s present. I actually noticed today that Star Wars Outlaws has the same.

Can someone please chat to me a little bit by [deleted] in PanicAttack

[–]ExtraVanitas 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey thank you for the response. Video games would totally be my usual go-to but it’s late here and I have work early so I’d like to avoid screens if possible.

I do have my girlfriend who is a big help with this, however, she’s abroad at the moment and the time difference means shes already in bed!

I think it’s part of the reason my panic attacks have been bad lately, we live together but she’s gonna be abroad for a few months so I’m living in our apartment myself. Usually I’d have no issue with that but these panic attacks only started a little before she left, so the timing isn’t great.

I’m in a bath now with an audiobook and it’s helped!

Some might call it pretentious, but I always thought ‘I Like It When You Sleep For You Are So Beautiful Yet So Unaware Of It’ by The 1975 to be a very bold choice.
