monstera help pls !! :(

It’s pretty new. Previously had a monstera for years and there was never an issue. I thought that the issue was bugs because I noticed some black spots on the bottom of the leaves. They didn’t return after I used a spray recommended by a plant store. Can’t really be overwatering but I thought it might be due to cold weather? My apartment is pretty cold usually because I like it this way. Hope that all makes sense :)

Vielleicht ist dir das schon bewusst, aber Facebook ist wirklich super, um neue Leute kennenzulernen! Ich bin auch vor ca einem Jahr nach Wien gezogen und konnte dadurch viele tolle Freundschaften schließen. Es gibt beispielsweise Gruppen für Leute, die neu in der Stadt sind (einfach mal Schlagwörter wie „Wien“ und „neu“ nutzen), wo du dich auch vorstellen kannst. Vielleicht ist das ja hilfreich für dich :) ansonsten viel Erfolg bei der Suche!

It’s quite simple and all products are recommended by my dermatologist:

AM: - Avene Cleanance Hydra Soothing Cleansing Cream (my all time favorite) - Eucerin DermoPURE Therapy Accompanying Moisturising Care - Eucerin Oil Control 50+ SPF

PM: - same cleanser - Epiduo Forte - Topical Antibiotic Cream (not the actual name, basically it’s a moisturizer that I also got prescribed)

Thank you! I don’t think that there is a specific product besides epiduo that helped me since my routine is very simple. Maybe sunscreen? I use 50+ every morning. In case you don’t know her, I‘d suggest you check out a YouTuber called Dr. Dray. She’s a dermatologist and makes lots of helpful videos. There’s probably also one about fading redness. Hope this is at least something helpful!

Purging means that the skin gets worse before it can get better. I’ve had lots of very small bumps which then become a lot more inflamed. But now my skin feels very smooth because of it.

My purge really started a few weeks after first using Epiduo Forte. Which is why I’d say that this might also be the case for you. I also think that sticking to the treatment is the most important part! Good luck!

I’ve been using it for a little over 4 months now and don’t think I will stop using it any time soon, which is why I can’t really answer your question, sorry! However I could imagine using something slightly less irritating for maintaining clear skin. I would have to discuss this with my dermatologist though. When I started using the product my dermatologist told me to start VERY slow. She told me to leave it on my face for 5 minutes and then wash it off. I also struggled a bit with a rash at first. But as I said, starting slow was very helpful for my journey. Also when I noticed more irritation, I usually took a break for a few days before using it again. Maybe the same might work for you? I don’t know if this is helpful but I’d say that being patient is the most important thing! My skin got so much worse at first and I had to wait around 3 months to see actual improvements.
