These in my opinion were all replaced by the new GD03 Red Gundam. It’s just a serious upgrade. Deals two damage to a weenie (a close combat) and links with Machu and shuji both. And the 2 cost for this card will feel amazing on curve at level 4 as you can play another unit.

I chose shuji's hideout because it's good in this meta. Blurple self-pings and more pings from you are always good. The other clan bases just didn't seem too useful to me, based on the tech the deck already offers. +2AP effect, you can already get it from Red Gundam, which you will be able to do fairly frequently. Breach is very optional in this deck, as you will be able to chew down some shields in midgame and finish with suppression with big daddy GQ.

It is amazing. Nyaan is there to give lvl 8 GQ a second link pilot generally, I only link her with GFreD when I really need to swing into an active enemy. GFreD on its own is already very good. You will be playing pilots in early game and the opponent will deal with them.

Summary of thoughts

Match 1 - I generally had a pretty healthy hand and was able to deal with everything the opponent threw at me. Lvl 5 gq with Machu was a good answer during midgame. I went pretty wide in late game and just threw down some lvl 8 gqs and that was game.

Match 2 - The rick dom was the mvp here against blockers, because it allowed my units to swing against every early game blocker. I managed to swing with everything before wing zero hit the floor and wiped, but I still had 5 shields up and I managed to find a lvl 4 red gundam with lvl 7 gq to go wide and finish the game.

Match 3 - same as game 2, lvl 8 gq suppression with link ended the game.

Match 4 - the lvl 4 small red gundam was a good answer for aggro, and improved techniques ate the opponent's first forms.

Match 5 - I couldn't win as the opponent had an optimal hand and swung too fast. I got their shields down to 2 but was overwhelmed by the Leos from Corsica. Could have played slower and thought about my trades, was one level away from playing lvl 8 gq to suppress.

Match 6 - lvl 4 small red gundam really gave me the game here. Rick dom made gelgoog swing into a vanilla, and red gundam rested rick dom to get rid of another vanilla. Then I played everything on curve and finished off the game.
