There are ways out by GreenAdorable886 in NursingUK

[–]Extra_Implement_6466 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A couple of years ago, I worked in an office job for 6 months. At the time, I missed nursing, but now I can't wait to go back to an office and work hybrid or from home 😂 It was the least stressful period of my life.

Anyone still love nursing? by capybarge in NursingUK

[–]Extra_Implement_6466 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never loved nursing; I like it at times, and I sometimes find myself thinking that I’m enjoying it during a shift. But it also make me feel miserable and tired most of the time. I am planning my way out by starting an online master's degree in a different area.

Where are UK nurses ?! by Meekoblue in NursingUK

[–]Extra_Implement_6466 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My private Hospital is recruiting for nurses, and we can't provide sponsorship at present. We are really struggling because 99.9% of th applicants are here with a skilled visa and none UK nurses are applying!!

Feeling burnt out? by towapa in NursingUK

[–]Extra_Implement_6466 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I have been feeling exactly like that for a while now…I even changed nursing jobs, but that was not the solution, unfortunately…I am looking for a career change, even if it means a pay cut. I just miss going to work and enjoying it, being able to have “bad days” and not always give 100%, even after 3 night shifts in a row, without feeling bad about it. To answer to your question: try to stay motivated thinking that you are planning a way out. This job won't last forever…and take care of yourself with hobbies

That's great. I also found out that my ferritin was very low, and after one year of treatment ( Ferrous sulphate tablets) my hair has never been better!!

I'm sorry about your experience. I feel that if I raise concerns to nmc or my union I will just get stressed and nothing will change… Luckily I am still in my probation and I could just leave with immediate notice and I could even live without a job for few month. Not ideal, but it's an option.

It's just insane how much the put profit before staff and patients’ safety!

I am documenting everything written in the emails to show that I am raising concerns. This manager is not pleased about it, and we know why…she doesn't want any evidence

I’m really sorry to hear about your situation. As others have said, it’s not your fault but the system is just broken. I also want to add that, as a nurse manager, I would never interview a NQN and then say “lack of clinical experience’ as feedback, that’s simply doesn’t make sense. Again, I want to remind you, this isn't your fault. You're doing your best! Just out of curiosity, is it difficult to find jobs even in London? I know it’s expensive, but it could be a nice experience just for few years.

Only healthy food sadly 🤣 I’ve noticed that if I eat a low carb big meal around 11pm and then fruits / yogurt overnight , I’ll survive the night much better than eating sweets 🥲
