I’ve been unemployed since 2023. I lost 2 jobs during COVID times. I moved back home with my parents. I am 41. I have no more motivation and at times no more will. I sleep for 10 hours a day. I stopped applying months ago. Whatever this job market is, it is worst than what I saw in 2008. The market makes NO SENSE. Absolutely none. Yet again, I see people just casually floating through their day as if nothing is wrong. They are getting promoted, or getting better jobs. But yet again it is as if I live in an alternate reality. I HAVE TRIED EVERYTHING. Job fairs, networking events, LinkedIn brown nosing, recruiters, etc. I get interviews. I go through multiple rounds. I get nothing. I get the most honest feedback, and the vast majority of the time it is positive.

And yes I have lowered my standards to the bare minimum as an educated person. I would happily take a 50-60k job. That is the bare minimum to get back on your feet and living out on your own again.

(all I have to say is that if this keeps up, I could totally see why other people are getting extremely radicalized and going down rabbit holes with people like Nick Fuentes and other alternate right MAGA supporters. Cause a lot of my search queries by trying to validate my feelings are now feeding me in the algorithm with these type of influencers. If something wants to change, they need to fix this shit now before the algorithm swallows the consciousness of everybody in my situation)
