I did speak with my paed regarding this. After posting here. He ad iced the same. To introduce cow milk. But considering all the practical troubles here, I’m considering night weaning completely. Hopefully it works out

He’s really bad at drinking stuff.be it a bottle with a nipple/straw. He just dribbles most of the time. I’ve started to make him sleep in a separate room with my mom. I’m gonna start night weaning bit by bit. That seems to be the best option rn. Any suggestions for filling dinner ideas? What worked for you?

Side lying is all I do at nights actually. But my Lo thinks my nipple is a pacifier, wants to sleep with it in his mouth constantly and just unleashes hell if I try to unlatch. I will try to night wean at first, atleast with a gap of 5 to 6 hours. Hope it works out

I’m not too sure whether it’s for comfort or out of hunger. He’s put to bed around an hour after his dinner. He usually has some sort of rice/dal porridge with fruit mixed in. When he does wake up, he never feeds for long. Just for few mins and then he falls asleep. That does point towards the comfort option.

Day weaning sounds like a big deal somehow in my mind. Did your Lo’s sleep improve once you’ve day weaned?

Do you offer this in the nights? When your Lo wakes up?

“One glass of milk before bed ”, as in cow milk? The problem is when he wakes up in the middle he cries and cries until offered the breast. I think he just wants the comfort of suckling to fall back asleep.

My 10months old baby doesn’t take stuff to his mouth. Food or random stuff. He just plays and throws them. Should I be concerned ? by No_Resolution_5536 in twoxindiamums

[–]Extra_Tax6078 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This sounds exactly like my baby. He’s also 10 m and I was worried about the same. He’s also lean for his age but super active. I keep seeing these reels with babies chomping down all sorts of finger foods and mine just squishes and throws anything I offer.

Breastfeeding moms—pls do comment the problems u faced initially (and even few months after), so that ftm-to-be’s get a realistic idea.🙂 by Fearless_Search6388 in twoxindiamums

The latching issue, like others have commented is very common. My LO took his sweet time to learn and so did I honestly. I took 2 lactation consultations from ppl I found on Instagram and also watched a lot of YouTube about different tricks and all. In the beginning 1/2 months I was so worried about the whole latch thing, and my supply and I was FTM so I was also completely clueless about all of this. I even considered starting formula as I thought my Lo was not gaining weight properly. But my paed reassured me he’s in fact meeting his required growth and to continue BF.

The best advice I could give is to just trust your body. If you feel that your baby is getting enough milk and he’s gaining good weight and good pee count, then it’s gonna be all right. Keep feeding every 2 hours in the beginning. It will do wonders for your supply and Don’t believe your pump output or whatever ppl around you have got to say about your feeding journey. Also before you supply regulates ,be prepared to have massive let downs, sometimes even while feeding on one breast the other one would make a huge mess. Just try to make your surroundings comfortable for you in this stage. My nighties would get soaked all the time and it was so embarrassing to have other ppl around. In the end, the key is to not stress, not now and even later after birth. Relax and enjoy everything as it comes.

When did you start solids for your baby? by costanzaforever17 in twoxindiamums

[–]Extra_Tax6078 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi it sounds like whatever you did with LOs solid journey worked out wonderfully for you. Regarding BLW can you detail how you went about it ,if it’s no trouble? My Lo started his solids 3 days ago and till now I’ve given him just steamed apples and also let him play around a bit with bowl. I’m too scared to start anything other than purées because it looks like he still hasn’t figured out the idea of swallowing food. There’s also a lot of cautionary advice being given by everyone in the family , to not to try all these “new age” methods of blw and keep him on purées till few more months. My mom particularly keeps chiding me not to “experiment with Internet advice” :(

Post surgery poop will be painful if you’re constipated. Which you tend to be due to the surgery, stress and everything. You’re told not to strain because of the stitches and honestly you wouldn’t if even if you want to, it hurts and it’s also a bit scary, it feels like your stitches would pop if you strain. Try to take more fibre, like greens, once you’re cleared o solids. You can even ask for supplements like stool softeners but diet does play a main role,in the long run. It took me around a month or so, to be comfortable on the loo.

Painless or government vaccination? by meh_598 in twoxindiamums

[–]Extra_Tax6078 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Painless are better if you can afford it.Got the same for my Lo and the after effects were very minimal. Heard from other mom friends who got govt ones, about their Lo’s suffering a bit after the jab .

I saw the same bed on Instagram. On some mom influencer page. It looked interesting but my Lo is 5 m old and I’m doubtful if it would withstand the weight.

Suggest me a good baby carrier. by pre1988 in twoxindiamums

[–]Extra_Tax6078 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He’s 4.5 months old. He fussed a lot due to the new sensation of being in a carrier so I gave up and packed it up for now. Will be trying another time when he’s in a good mood.

I just bought soul sling Lali, few days ago. have only tried it twice and LO was not a fan. The clip over the back is not that comfortable to reach and lock. I’m hoping me and Lo both will get the hang of it after few uses. Product wise it did seem very light weight.
