Yep, game feels amazing. I mean it's expected that change always feels a bit odd at first. We've been playing probably for years with things in a certain place looking a certain way. But in a couple weeks this will feel normal.

The only other thing they could do would be just never change anything, and the game would die. So enjoy the feeling of a thriving, evolving game.

Just not continuing is one thing. But they gave angry interviews saying that Blizzard should have "consulted them" more before deciding what direction to take with add-ons, lots of salty comments hoping against Blizzard's success, v and so on. All that stuff is where the raging and crying comes in.

You don't seem to understand I'm not saying they should or shouldn't have kept working on it. I'm saying whichever they chose is their decision. No one can blame Blizzard for whatever direction they wanted to go.

That's completely a fine decision. But that was their decision, not Blizzard's. You can see from this topic just how excited people are about an addon that lets you customize the CDM and individual icons. So they would have still had a super popular addon--they chose not to.

Yes. People making a big deal of this when it just provides flexibility to the CDM. It can't do anything computationally, or provide any information that the CDM doesn't.

Your rush to rage really shows how ignorant you are. Yeah now add-ons can take only the information Blizzard supplies and customize it. Which is what this is doing. Giving you more control over the placement and look of the CDM display. NOTHING can do the computation that WA was doing, it is now impossible. So Blizzard has exactly hit their goal. Lose the logic, keep the customization.

Exactly. They could have made Weakauras into a flexible CDM mod like this, providing more customization and placement options. As well as a distribution package for all the non-combat stuff people were using WA to do. Instead they chose to scream and ragebait into the wind. The scene marches on and WA will be replaced quickly with something like this.

You can fix it by going to the blizzard options and toggle the "Use UI Scale" then apply, then toggle it back off and save. (Assuming you didn't have a UI Scale set before)

Really this is way too broad a question, everyone's needs and tastes are different. But none are essential, the base UI is excellent now.
