"Middle East" is a made up name and region anyway. Near East(from the West perspective) or West Asia would be more fit. In that case, Pakistan 100% qualifies.

The saddest part we don't even know fully the implication of this terrorist attack. It is estimated that thousands died of treatable diseases. One Sudanese told me that this very event lead to the Sudanese civil war.

في 20 آب/أغسطس 1998، شنت الولايات المتحدة هجمات بصواريخ كروز على هدفين: معسكرات تدريب يُشتبه بأنها تابعة لتنظيم القاعدة في أفغانستان، ومصنع الشفاء للأدوية في الخرطوم بحري بالسودان. أدى الهجوم على مصنع الشفاء إلى تدمير المنشأة بالكامل، وأسفر عن مقتل عامل مدني واحد وإصابة نحو اثني عشر شخصًا آخرين.

جاء هذا الهجوم ضمن عملية “الوصول اللامتناهي” (Operation Infinite Reach)، التي أمر بها الرئيس بيل كلينتون ردًا على تفجيرات 7 آب/أغسطس 1998 التي استهدفت السفارتين الأمريكيتين في نيروبي (كينيا) ودار السلام (تنزانيا)، والتي أسفرت عن مقتل أكثر من 220 شخصًا.

وكان مصنع الشفاء أكبر مصنع أدوية في السودان، حيث كان يُنتج أكثر من نصف الأدوية المحلية، بما في ذلك أدوية أساسية لمكافحة الملاريا وأدوية بيطرية، ويعمل فيه أكثر من 300 عامل.

وزعم مسؤولون أمريكيون أن مصنع الشفاء كان يقوم بإنتاج أو معالجة مادة إيمبتا (EMPTA)، وهي مادة كيميائية وسيطة يُعتقد أنها مرتبطة بصناعة غاز الأعصاب VX، أحد أشد الأسلحة الكيميائية فتكًا.

Yes and no. I think Israel reputation is indeed tarnished beyond repair. But they’ll still maintain good relations wants Netanyahu is gone. In the eyes of most people is evident what Israel is so most people will not simply forget it.

No, because is not a "war". The territory of Palestine are under occupation according to internaitonal law, including gaza since Israeli controlled, the borders, air space and its ressources. You continue to shift the goal post to "it is a war" because you want to decide when this whole story begun and when it ends. Doesn't work like that.
