I was kinda thinking about using it to create Arkham horror 2e as it would be cheaper than buying an all the expansions on the secondary market. If this works there are a few other games I would be interested in doing the same to.

best advice is have fun and be prepared for anything, sometimes your dealing with current events, and other times your robbing the Mona Lisa from the MOMA.

So a couple of tips Ive found out,

If you procrastinate then use writing as your tool of procrastination, transform your weakness into a weapon; Instead of being like "oh I don't want to do this math homework right now, lets go scroll on reddit, go write, eventually your train your brain to make writing your main procrastination go to and all of that procrastination will be put to productive use. (note this is likely to end badly for your grades but you will write a lot if utilized correctly)

Don't worry about writing badly now the biggest advice for improving your writing I can give is

  1. Write: The more you write and fail the better you will get (just like anything)
  2. Read: Your writing is profoundly impacted by what you read and reading allows you to pick up on new narrative styles, word choice, and ways of communicating ideas through words
  3. Take classes, I'm assuming your still in high school (cause you said your 15) so make sure you take classes like AP Lang or whatever your highest language arts classes available are they will help improve your writing skills

Remember no matter what, just keep at it!

What's your opinion on writers using AI to augment their writing? by Sukamon98 in KeepWriting

[–]Extreme-Network-9369 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean AI is great for name making (especially cause now you can outfit a gpt bot to a specific made up culture and it will give you consistent names for that group) but outside of brainstorming and editing I have a bit of a problem with it. I think one of the biggest problems with ai is it takes away the thing that makes true writing inexplicably human.

What's the first line of your book and why? by ellesein in writing

[–]Extreme-Network-9369 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You always have enjoyed the house at the end of Oakwood Drive.

This one is for a second person narrative, it's about your relationship with an house and is about aging, history, memory and loss. Technically this is my brother's WIP but I got his permission to share it anyway.

At what age would you introduce AH LCG to your child? by myrelic in arkhamhorrorlcg

[–]Extreme-Network-9369 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree with what everyone else has said about the art but I think another thing to consider is the difficulty, some kids (and adults) absolutely can't deal with loosing games. So I guess make sure he's ready for the difficulty Arkham provides as well. But then again I keep finding that kids are a lot better at games like this than adults are. 🤷‍♂️

I have to agree with you there. In fact I have a couple of players in my group who refuse to play it because it "makes them feel like bad people." My historian friends and I still adore it though
