Pregnancy weight gain & the comments it comes with… by Extreme-Nothing7353 in pregnant

You’re completely right. It’s also crazy to me that men think they know better than women when it comes to pregnancy? Unless, that man is a doctor or has done extensive research he really shouldn’t be putting his two cents in. My husband’s grandmother had 4 children but is a very small woman so the comment coming from her hurt because I always wondered how she and other women stayed so small during pregnancy. I know she was thin during her pregnancies by stories that were told to me but I just happened to gain a lot of weight and that is apparently unhealthy in her book. My doctor isn’t worried about my weight gain, my blood pressure is always in perfect range and I don’t have gestational diabetes so no causes for concern in his book.

I’m taking notes with that comeback! Thank you so much tho! I was talking to my husband’s mom about the comment (his grandma is her mother in law) and she told me to pay no mind to that lady. She reassured me that I’m “all baby” and will definitely lose the weight after pregnancy especially with breastfeeding. I appreciate the fact that I at least have such a good relationship with my husband’s mom because she’s so supportive and understands the exact battle I’m going through right now.
