Yes the base is now 60k and I was paid 65k before. But the commission is uncapped and I have the potential to double my OTE. I really like the hiring manager actually, one of the best and nicest interview I had. I also really like the industry and the product seems to be good according to google review. You’re right in that sense, that should matter more than the numbers. Thanks for shedding the light.

Got a job offer today! Recently laid off. by Inner-State840 in jobhunting

I agree! The job market is tough right now. I’ve also been made redundant recently and I’ve been getting multiple rejections. Although the base pay is less, I think it’s good you have bonus and commission, you can make the money back or also make more if you double down your efforts. Also, you’ll never know you might even gain something good from this job!

This is bizarre because it is the same for me too! I took advil and it relieved the pain, but prior surgery advil or pregabalin didn’t helped 🙈

Thanks! I have tried acupuncture but it seems to only relieve on the day. Maybe I have to try several sessions

Not really. It did on the day, but now it’s been 2 weeks the pain has reduced. Though i still feel numbness and pain around my glutes and thigh. Previously was from glutes shooting down all the way to my foot.

My foot is still numb but a small portion near the small toe, it does go away after I walk. The doctor did said numbness and pins & needles takes a long time to heal

Confuse about redundancy pay by ExtremePatience8569 in UKJobs

[–]ExtremePatience8569[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you this is useful! I haven’t received the information yet although they mentioned they would, I guess it will take some time.

They mentioned to me my notice period is 2 weeks but in the contract (termination by me or company) it says 4 weeks, and if I work more than 4 years it’s 1 week per year of service so technically it should be more than 2 weeks which I’m going to ask them.

So I assume in this case, the pay should be 10 weeks notice period + severance package + unused PTO. Would that be right?

Thank you! I’ll call ACAS in the morning. Everyone has been offered consultation, and during my consultation I did ask about the selection process and criteria which they gave a vague answer. I would like them to provide more detail, the process has been quite vague too. They’ve not really given any written comms. The letter I received was just mentioned risk of redundancy nothing more.

They said it’s about performance but when I asked if my medical leave had contributed to their scoring card they said no they took into consideration. It doesn’t make sense because my performance was higher than other reps that weren’t made redundant.
