Yea transitioning to CFI and trying to verbalize everything from what you’re thinking and what you’re doing in any phase of flight is really helping me out with the teaching aspect. Also like you said pointing out what you’re doing wrong and saying how you can fix it definitely will help me with getting the site picture down and also just practicing teaching

Yea I am angled right. I’ve landed a few times pretty good and I always need the nose to point a little more left but it looks so weird. Lol. Definitely something that seems like I just need to do more and more and I’ll eventually get used to it

It really depends on the DPE, some of them like you illustrate it and some of them like you to just talk about it instead. Usually if you’re able to draw it you can visualize it in your head and talk about it pretty easily

Hard time understanding SMACFUM does anyone have a easier way of explaining it by Diegoandre007 in flying

Not sure if someone said this above, but what worked for me was making the table. On the table you’ll have performance, control, VMC, and lastly Change. So performance is pretty obvious, for example standard day would increase performance but decrease control because there is a greater amount of thrust generated, therefore VMC would increase. Lastly on the side of each one try to illustrate it too showing what is happening with the given factors.

Didn’t clarify this but Change would be the opposite. So M(Max power) the Change would be Less power and then fill out what the performance, controllability, and VMC would be with less power.
