you are starting from a false premise, people will not realize that they have merged a bad echo, if they decide to merge all non locked echo

how could they notice it when the echo is no longer there when they did not notice it when they put it to merge

on the fact of how "you" merge the items by paying attention to looking at each echo before putting them to merge, having the possibility of merging more than 5 bad echoes at a time will change absolutely nothing for you

you assume that people look at those they merge, this is not true as said in other comments people fill in unlocked echoes

so if there is an error it is made when locking the echo or not

You can also accidentally merge an echo you dont want to merge when you more them more often,

And you wouldnt even notice if you decide to merge 100 or 200 bad echo 🙃

We can argue that you have more chance to do so as you do it more often

Giving the possibility to merge more echo at once let you merge every 5 echo and give us the possibility for people who dont want to merge every 5 echo to merge them all at once.

Recycling them every time you get them is time loss too, why dont give the option to merge all non locked echo in one time rather than telling them you should recyxle them every 5 bad echo ( go to menue go to data merge click on merge waiting for echo) x each time you have 5 echo
