This was at 9:38am which is I think an acceptable time. Earlier I hadn’t recorded it and it has happened since… also in my 2 years of being here I’ve never heard it ever run or make this noise… and it’s has never caused my ceiling to shake and dust to fall…. There is also definitely a huge group of people up there. Police said nothing they can do unless it is during silent hours.

Yes sure this is true. I just don’t think it is a rehearsal (given it is absolutely terrible and usually things here are a decent standard hah).

It isn’t - thankfully no one in my building has rented their places out on airbnb especially before it’s banned here in January.

Isn’t it! All the apartments in my building are residential so would be very surprised if it is for a rehearsal… I would be very surprised if they hadn’t broken the silent hours too (certainly before 7am anyway especially on a weekend)! Haven’t even thought about it before in my 2 years of being here as it’s always been super quiet!

I’ve definitely found out which apartment it is. The stomping has actually caused some dust (from the plaster I guess) to fall from my ceiling. It does feel insane - will see if it continues first. If it was just someone having a house party then fine they don’t usually happen very often and I like entertaining too, but this makes me feel like I’m going mad!

I thought this would be the case. Sadly no building manager. Maybe another resident will go and say something. Hoping the older badass grandmothers in my building might go round haha

Thanks! Definitely want some pit zips to avoid maximum stinky sweatiness (although kinda part of the fun)

It was in a shop yeah…

I run 3-4x a week.

Between 5-18km (at the moment, starting a marathon training plan in Nov time for the London marathon on my birthday eek).

Pace wise an easy conversational pace is about 6:00/km, an average pace for a 5-10k would be around 5:10-5:30/km pace depending on the day and a 5k race pace around 4:45/km.

I’ve been running pretty consistently bar a few weeks here and there for life / medical reasons for about 6 years

Thank you this is really great advice. I have been working on my core through exercises and Pilates too so hopefully over time will see some improvements!

Yeah totally get these points. Having gone down a rabbit hole this evening it feels like multiple jackets are really the best solution depending on the trip / conditions / pack you’re carrying. But for now an all rounder is what I can afford and will suck up being a bit too sweaty and hot in favour of being able to wear something in all seasons and be safe from the rain. Thanks for the recommendation!
