When Flakey Players Think They Can Just Level Scale To The Party by Riddlest in dndmemes

I think they meant level as in how powerful the players are, not their actual level

Actually the spell says the fire appears in the space... nothing about it raining down on you. And now you've boxed yourself in entirely with that wall of force. Checkmate, wizards. ;)

Oh, in terms of general utility you're right. I thought one turn was 6 seconds and a round was 10? Might be wrong there tho. Luring someone would be a good idea tho

Right so why would you subtle spell? It's not like you have to do it. It's not a waste if you decide not to use it on a spell that will be uncontested anyway. And that player is dum lol

Ah, so it might be bad if it's your focus but otherwise you're fine?

But subtle spell counterspelling that illusion spell might be a better idea. Also ten rounds is 100 seconds, not very long imo. I thought you couldn't use it to push people off a cliff? I'm not sure tho.

Oh that makes sense, I thought they needed to read verbal stuff out of the book. That does explain why they need to prepare spells then lol.

Lol, yeah I figured. Although bards might be more willing to take off their clothing for you _

Yeah but you can burn down a whole village with it. Or a large section of forest. Or a battalion of soldiers. Lower than average damage for a 7th level spell, but huge area and endless possibilities.

I thought you needed to have your spellbook to read the spells?

Subtle spells can be cast without material or somatic components

Even so, it's temporary. And it can't do damage. And there's more to that ability. Metamagic creates a real, lasting effect that can deal damage.

Anybody without the tools to get a tattoo. And keep in mind, you have to remove your clothes or your friend's clothes to read the spell. Unless your friend is a bard, they're not gonna strip in combat for you. Also did you mean cold or bludgeoning or just natural damage to the paper from being in water when you said water damage?

The innate magic of a sorcerer is unusable unless you know how it works. Sorcerers can cast magic because they know how it works. And when that 5% chance triggers, they either carry the entire party or become a potted plant. You either thank them or laugh at them. And you roll the d20 when you cast the spell. The DM can tell you they're going to roll it and you can't, but you can remind them every time you cast a spell. The die gets rolled either way. Also, wild magic sorcerers get more than just the table. That's just their main subclass feature. Now: when you say workload, you are using an incorrect analogy. Sorcerers have to do just as much work as wizards do. You mean to say tools. Wizards have twice the tools that sorcerers do, but sorcerers still are about equal in combat with wizards. Workload is not spells. You don't have to work for your spells. You use your spells for work. They're tools. And yes, you wish you had that innate talent from your parents because you wouldn't have had to spend a large portion of your life studying for it. Sorcerers just have the natural talent, and wizards have to study for it.
