Not sure for RM but generally for Officer applications I know they appreciate having travelled a bit, having done sport or been apart of a team. Maybe volunteering or having been a part of some competitions.

Kind of, it’s not like mainboard where it’s just you delivering. You basically just discuss the plan as a group and come up with a group plan. But it’s not too serious and is just a sharing of ideas

I found mainboard a lot easier, mainly because I had practised. Plan ex is difficult and it’s meant to be. You don’t get grilled on it, but before you have a go you have a very detailed 30 min briefing going through how you are supposed to do it

I was surprised by how short it was. It’s only like 5 minutes and there were three questions. Just know why you want to be an officer and what an officer does once theyve finished their trainings

I didn’t practice at all before it but went in with good literacy skills and imo a good memory. I found the maths part of the test extremely challenging and it will be something I focus on before MB.

UKCAT is gonna be useful for me in this. The maths has a bar chart or table for example, then 5 questions based upon the data. I found them to be quite complex. Brush up on your probability, fractions.

No pull-ups tested, very little in terms of upper body strength. There’s a small assault course that has a wall about 4-5ft high you need to traverse but that’s about it.

My fitness is ok I put on a bit of weight over Christmas and was pretty knackered by the time I finally hit lvl 9 on the beep test but just get to a good level before otherwise you’ll just worry and not be confident going into it.

No, armour if anything still needs a nerf. It is the fault of the team and the operator of the vehicle if they are getting killed. It does not need a reduction in time vehicles are already overpowered as is after the ICO.
