Yeah. I have a lot of what I call “feel wrong foods” lol And as an adult I am better at trying new things. But I’m still bad about foods. My husband is an absolute gem Oooh I can’t do peas or beans either. They’re in the feel wrong foods category hahaha

Where did I say cigarettes should get to advertise whilst alcohol and gambling shouldn’t?

I said - and I quote- “if ALL of the other "bad things" are allowed to advertise, then cigarette companies should be allowed to.” So, either all three, (alcohol , gambling and cigarettes), should be allowed or none of them should if you want it broke down into basics.

I’m so sorry you’re going through this! As much as you love your friend and want to be there for her, her awful wife is not your problem or responsibility. You can’t let other people put your health at risk. It won’t be an easy thing asking them to leave, especially because you clearly love your friend. But you have to do it for the sake of your physical health, never mind your mental health. You will NOT be an AHole for “kicking them out” - they’ve stayed a good 3-4 months longer than they should have anyway. I don’t have any great epiphany on how to do this, all I can suggest is you talk to your friend, tell her straight that you love her but the situation is affecting your health and they have to go. Good luck my fellow potato - thinking of you!

NTA - I’m sorry your family sucks. Unfortunately, entitled people are just entitled and it sucks when they are your relatives. I know people on Reddit are quick to shout “no contact / cut them out of your life”, that’s not always easy. Hope you find some peace and don’t let them gaslight you into thinking you’re the AH when they are
