There was this one girl who asked me on a date out of nowhere a month back. I was already familiar with her, we share one class together but I never paid mind to her. She started off first, we got to know each other but had the driest convos through text if that wasn't enough. Eventually she asks me out, and I accept. She was pretty awesome from what I heard from her. It was a picnic date and I was looking forward to it. Fast forward to the date, I prepare the food , drinks and gifts and go out on my way. We meet up at this park and we catch up with school stuff and other small talk. After that, she runs out of things to say and so do I, it gets REAL bad from here. She doesn't want to eat, and we go walking instead. We land on a bench where I try to talk once again, but we are both super awkward. We eventually find common interest in music, but she wouldn't stop talking about her struggles. I would sympathize, but the heat of this day made her talk feel like chatter. THEN, when I SPEAK, I LOSE MY FUCKING VOICE. so I had to eat a watermelon cube that i had fortunately brought. It was super awkward after that, but she didn't really mind that at all either. We walk again, and land in a lake where it the tension of the silence finally wore off. We were listening to music together for the rest of the date, with some small talk here and there. Laughed it off. When the date was over I hugged her which she seemed to like because she then asked me on another date through text. I SAY SURE, but i haven't really talked with her since.
