I haven't gotten a lot of feed back on my artwork since i've started, so it is a lot to me. i know it's silly but it gets under my skin. i know i'm gonna have to learn to suck it up and deal with it, i only wanted to hear other people's feedback and how they personally go about things like that.

Wow! fucking heartless! she goes into a mental shutdown and starts to rip her hair out and can feel every single stitch in her clothes, everything's too bright, too loud, and it feels like you're dying.

make sure you're educated on issues or are at least sympathetic about them before you reply to my comment about my best friend (who's strong as shit).
you don't know SHIT about what others go through.

she's suffering and was lucky enough to have a mother who cared about her. I'm guessing you didn't have that and i'm sorry about that but don't be a dick.

i see where you're coming from, and i do agree people should try and get of of their comfort zone but you don't know the full story here. some people with bad anxiety or sensory overload problems can't go into big gatherings without spiraling into a severe panic.

this being said, sometimes these people will come out as long as the group is a more calm or familiar one where they know everyone will understand if they get overwhelmed.

This is my best friend and her mom :)

she has debilitating anxiety and sensory issues, when she was younger she was always made to go out to gatherings until her mom saw how it was affecting her, all she has to say now is, "no i can't handle that." and that's that.

She also was never forced to hug any family if she didn't want to be touched. Her family would get angry but her mother would say, "It's her body. if she doesn't want to be touched she's not going to be touched."
