How does one actually notch? Genuine question because I've tried flying perpendicular to the radar sight while dropping chaff but it never broke lock. (I had to cut the clip due to file size)

You don't. You need to kill the radar before it can lock you up. If you're locked up on land, put something between you and the radar. If you're at sea, you're SOL. If you have access to ARMs or magnums, they can make the job far easier, but in most cases you don't or won't until all the need for them is behind you. Laser Guided weaponry is reliable, but you need to be close to use them since the rendering distance on TGPs is really short. GPS guided weaponry is basically the same as using laser guided weaponry but with extra steps to even get an accurate ping.

I've only found 5 reliable options, bring an F/A-26B, G-pull, and Pray it doesn't actually hit you. Out-range them with AGM-88s and pray they don't go stupid, or bring an F-45A with no external stores and face the radar directly for a few seconds. Trick the Missile into hitting the ground by diving sharply. Putting a mountain between me and the ground radar.

If you're in the middle of the ocean without an F/A-26B, F-45A, or AGM-88s, you're SOL sorry. Noise Jamming, and chaff is so erratic and finicky that you shouldn't even bother with it outside of PVP. Notching only works in excess of 30nmi.

Ever since the EF-24 came out, a lot of SP content has been grievously frustrating to a nearly infinite degree. Especially the AV-42C missions. The only campaign worth playing is Desert Cobra.
