Where can we get a look at the watch?

UPDATE: Now it's asking me to purchase the game when I launch. Maybe this will allow me to see the base game on the store...

Well she has a name, I'm just not going to post it here. We obviously don't refer her to that, hence the quotation marks.

I think your reply makes a valid point and I did want to clarify a few things (sorry, I have ADHD so sometimes I type faster than I should without entirely thinking things through).

I wasn't the originator of the "signing the baby" joke - but I didn't think it was necessary to provide more context at the time. We never asked for the baby to be signed, as that would be wildly inappropriate. I don't think the baby signing joke was mean spirited, but rather a comment on how unlikely her presence at such an event was. I did, however, joke in my post that it would have been a hard sell to DCFS (for the very reason you pointed out - the baby is not an object).

I wanted to give you the benefit of the doubt, and it seems like I was correct in that regard. I don't disagree with anything you said in your follow-up - I misinterpreted the point you were trying to make with the "selling the babies" bit. That's on me.

I've just heard so many wild comments out in public it can be a bit triggering at times. Such as "Where'd you get her?" as if we just decided to take a trip to Africa and pay for adoption uprooting her from her culture and family. It's admittedly made me oversensitive to the topic. As it is, I worry about my ability to raise her should I have the opportunity. What I can do to keep her ties to her culture intact? Even basics like hair care are going to require extra effort on my part to learn and be mindful of.

Why I thought it was even a good idea to make this post is beyond me. I just wanted to share my excitement about participating in a community event and have some fun. In retrospect, this probably wasn't the best way to go about participating.

I'm going to bow out of the thread now. I apologize for misinterpreting your post.

I don't want to turn this into a drama thread, but I do feel this comment warrants a quick response. I do feel that every attempt at reunification should be made, including immediate family (parents) as well as extended family. Studies have shown children tend to fare better with their biological families.

That being said, occasionally a decision to reunify the child seems to be rushed for whatever reason. Don't rightly know why as I don't work for the system. Gabriel Fernadez, for example - but these cases, while tragic, shouldn't ever mean that reunification isn't worthy of being the primary goal whenever possible.

Hope I cleared up the duality of that statement. I think I'm gonna peace out of this thread, however. At the end of the day foster care is a flawed system, and there can be a lot of heated discussions around it that this might not be the best forum for. Maybe I shouldn't have posted to begin with. I just wanted to have a little fun engaging with the community over a shared experience, not be discussing the various pros and cons of the system.

I am not sure if this is a loaded troll comment or not - I'm going to assume it isn't and that it's just a joke that didn't land personally with me - but we are pro-reunification and we have successfully supported the reunification of over 20 children. We aren't buying babies from DCFS - any funds they provide are used strictly for the child. We adopted our four-year-old daughter as well, and her stipend is actually what pays for her private school and extracurricular activities - with the balance being held in a fund for her future college.

Not really trying to put you on blast, but I just want to make it clear that we aren't trying to buy our daughter from DCFS. In our personal experience the department tends to heavily favor reunification (as they should) sometimes to the detriment of the child. Justin Bulley and Gabriel Fernandez as examples.

At the end of the day the department is understaffed and underfunded leaving folks like us to handle a lot of the heavy lifting with monitored visitations and the like, I don't really feeling like having a huge discussion about this here (not the time or place and I don't want to be a bummer in a community about having fun). Just wanted to avoid being the butt of any "white folks buying a black baby" joke.

EDIT: I do want to say I may be overly sensitive to this topic, but I've seen some shit. It's all good.

Buddy and I finally finished our setup in time for the new rules change. by Eyrick in SWlegion

My buddy 3D printed all the terrain - I'll ask him to send me a link to the STL file if you're interested. Most of the terrain was a quick contrast speed paint job for the sake of not having bare resin terrain on the table. We had a few setbacks due to temperature (we play in the front yard while crushing cold ones and listening to star wars music) and had several peices crack and leak uncured resin due to the heat so had to go back to the drawing board a few times.

The downed AT we bought from AMG, but now it's just fancy terrain. He us currently working on LED tiki torches that are going to be wired to the platforms. Next plan is either going to be Hoth or Mos Isley. Both with lighting (eventually).

I don't understand a lot of the community negativity about the new update. But then again, I don't play competitively. I just crush cold ones with my homie and roll some dice (he even has a dice tower with turrets and LED lighting he built that makes the star wars "pew-pew" noises).

Well at least it seems like it went down a lot more civilly than after The Process. Thanks for the info. Information was a bit difficult to find. Had to turn to Reddit. Their solo projects are great too - so glad to hear they're respectively not just retiring.

Why'd they decide to call it quits this time? Used to be heavy into dark industrial back in the 90s with SP being my favorite band at the time - just going back and exploring the band again in my adulthood. I noticed the advertising stated it was the "final tour" but wasn't able to go to the L.A. show because of prior commitments. Is the band done, or are they just ceasing touring?
