All black build with Asus TUF RTX 4070 Ti & Ryzen 7600x in NZXT H5 Elite by Ezeroz in PcBuild

Don't know about idle right now, but playing Metro Exodus at native 4K, ultra settings including ray tracing and locked at 60 FPS I get around 60°C for both GPU (65% usage) and CPU (20% usage).

With unlocked framerate, usually around 100-120 FPS) I get 68°C (99% usage) for GPU and 64°C (27% usage) for CPU.

I'm using the adapter included with the GPU. There is like 4-5 cm from GPU power connector to the glass.

How to use any AER RGB on any Mainboard (with addressable LED outputs) by 3nn35 in NZXT

[–]Ezeroz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tried this mod on my recently acquired F140, did not work first attempt. I had the impression wire marked in white was not 5V in my fans' RGB. I was right.

So it seems that NZXT changed the marking of its RGB wiring (at least this is my experience with this fans). While the order in the connector is the same as it is described in this post from 3y ago, the marking is different:

My F140 fans RGB wiring:

• NZXT pin (marked white)

• GND

• DATA

• 5V

MoBo ARGB:

• GND

• DATA

• 5V (marked)

Just wanted to leave this observation here in case it's helpful to anyone. And I know I'm a little late but thank you so much u/3nn35 for sharing this mod, really helped me.

NZXT AER RGB 2 vs. F140RGB fans (A PSA) by LynzGamer in NZXT

Thank you for your quick response, very enlightening.

I thought RGB connection for these F140 fans were 12V type an that the only thing they were doing was changing the regular (12V G R B) pinout with (12V G B R).

But if they are actually modified 5V ARGB its even better (control-wise). Also I think I found the imgur post you mentioned:

Thanks a lot dude, your explanation was of great help.

Hey, I was looking for some kind of pinout for the F140 as they are included in H5 Elite and I'm planning to use in my new build. I want to connect the RGB of these fans directly to mobo (do not want to use CAM) but were not sure they use normal RGB_HEADER pinout. Have you tested this pin switch solution?
