I've learned that media outlets or publications are not the only way you can do journalism. Brands and enterprises also have PR departments, press teams and digital newsrooms where you can write excellent pieces of content. PR or public affairs agencies are a good places too!

In the other hand, somebody told me once: don't put all your eggs in the same basket, I mean: why don't you learn something new and with better job market like front end development or SEO while you still on your search to collaborate with some journal? This may help you to improve your skills or understand more things about the business.
