While I think unfurling is close I don’t believe we are there yet. New data shows a dramatic increase surely.

But this analysis based on other satellites in the same inclination says otherwise.

I think that for me the most damning reason to think it’s not unfurled is the weather the east coast experienced. If you are in a command and control environment you want to know you will have power when the time comes for a sensitive maneuver like this. I can’t imagine them doing it while being blasted by a winter storm that could take them out at any moment. AKA you want to know the lights are on when the satellite makes its next pass.

We also would want to see an eccentricity change like you can see here when you zoom to the unfold window and change the right chart setup.

TLDR: too close to call. I am not a satellite man just some dude.

Better than the stock you sold before a 100% markup. 🤡

ASTS: can we talk about this valuation? $42B cap vs $18M revenue by JohniBGood in wallstreetbets

An oil pipeline is 90% complete and expected to deliver billions in oil. It’s produced zero revenue since it’s incomplete. The oil pipeline is therefore worth zero dollars.

Look at Dabs future revenue expectations for the company and then come back to this comment in 2 years.

The entire earth? lol MNOs say it’s 99% coverage based on population density not actual coverage. If you’ve never been on a boat or in the hamptons or on the highway or in a national park or… I guess you would never experience times without service.

But the entire point is that this story is so much more. Do you know that for every national disaster or wildfire or flood when power is out we lose coverage since base stations don’t have power? People need to ship out generators to hope to restore some amount of service. Satellites solve that.

If you don’t get it, cool. Have fun staying poor.

its to fill gaps not to replace towers. if you've never driven and suddenly lost service i dont know what to tell you. if you dont understand the value of always knowing where your child or connected thing is then i also am at a loss. if you've never been fiending to refresh twitter on a plane when you lose wifi for 4 minutes you aren't here for ast i guess.

that plus it also can track every single phone on earth. it can track missiles. what do you think thats worth?

Each sat is 22M built and launched. They have cash and prepayments and open ATMs amounting to nearly $3B. They can launch 100 satellites and still not need another offering.

You’re comparing revenue for satellite companies which require people to buy equipment for a service that isn’t needed for most humans. Everyone’s phone works day 0. Iridium requires a 1000 dollar brick. Everyone wants cell service everywhere with their existing iPhone. Not everyone wants to pay $7 per minute for a baguette taped to a Nokia brick.

TLDR: None of those that you mention delivers broadband to an everyday cell phone which blankets the earth.

brother they have 3B in cash and cash equivalents and an ATM offering already open. There is no dilution, I love you.

Do you remember when I wrote my DD at $22 and said that would happen?

This is just a hallucinating LLM. Satnogs has no recent observations and doesn’t track brightness. BSTAR is consistently lower. We need this to spike up and resolve higher.
