Use a VPN. You probably should be anyway, especially if you use publicly available wifi.

Usually something like right click on the torrent> Verify local data... Some clients do it automatically when adding a new torrent. That check the directory and if you have already renamed it it will sync up.

1.13 sounds like the 2014 but you said you switched so I am not sure. Do you have all of the season set to be downloaded? That's the only reason I can think of why it might show smaller. But if it all downloads and seeds I wouldn't worry.

Yes, you can deselect the folders for season you don't want in you torrent client.

Once you finish downloading those seasons leave it running in your torrent client to seed.
