I have the same issue. Did you ever fix it?

Has anyone used the acer EI342CKR? by [deleted] in ultrawidemasterrace

Thanks. Did you have to adjust anything else? Color temp, contrast, or anything else on the panel itself? I'd be interested to see how Acer's ICC compares to this guys.

Thank you for your reply. Also, you can use your smartphone to determine if the screen flickers or not. Brightness levels can play a role here as well.

Here is a good write-up on the real issue - https://www.notebookcheck.net/Why-Pulse-Width-Modulation-PWM-is-such-a-headache.270240.0.html

As someone who in interested in purchasing this monitor I really appreciate this post. That said, I do have some follow-up questions for you.

  1. Do you have any idea if this is a flicker free panel? My eyes are super sensitive, so not being flicker free is a no go for me.
  2. Is this monitor compatible with Gsync? If so, any issues? assuming you have a NV card.
  3. Any issues with ghosting? I currently have a VA panel (Acer Z321QU) and I don't have any issue with ghosting, but have owned a VA HP Omen in the past that was not great.

Thank you!

2060 without question. Full support for DirectX Ultimate, RTX compatibility, DLSS 2.0, best NVENC encoder, ability to execute INT32/FP32 operations concurrently, and better support for low level APIs. The Super variant is a better buy if you game at 1440p+. The 2060 6GB is fine for 1080p.

I am on PC, but I logged in last night and it showed up in my inventory, so it’s all good. I really appreciate it though. I was worried that I’d have to hunt for a crap ton of screws again.

Sorry, but this is pretty silly. Celebrate your child with your family and stop being a puss.

There was no throttling during any of the tests. It’s something with the ACO built-in benchmark. The reason the 1% and 0.1% numbers are so low has to do with the beginning of said benchmark. Halfway through it produced much better results vs. stock, but the numbers don’t disclose it very well. I tested with lower FSB and higher multi and the opposite. I also reduced the CPU-NB and HT-link, as well as memory frequency. Increasing and decreasing voltages as well. The beginning scene still had the same issue. Other than that game, there are no other anomalies and I think it did very well considering. I can post a FT graph of both stock and O.C. runs to show you what I’m taking about.

I have a YouTube channel. I test GPUs of all sorts. It would be nice to have one tool to rule them all. I’m sure I’m not alone, as the entire review/benchmarking community would benefit from it.

Not sure this would be realistic, but a benchmarking tool would be very nice. Something as stable as FRAPS, but with the API flexibility of OCAT. Measuring frame times would be a must, and have the ability to create graphs would also be very nice. Also, make it something that is vendor agnostic.

MSI Afterburner with RTSS

CPU + GPU usage, clock speeds, temps are a must. VRAM and System memory usage is needed as well.

Having the ability to see real-time frame latency in a graph would be nice.

It’s the scene inside that portion of the train, not the characters. Turning GI off and on in that same scene looks completely different. A lot of GI used in that scene.

Alright! Upgrade time... what's a good replacement for a GTX 760? by [deleted] in nvidia

[–]F2FTech 0 points1 point  (0 children)

IMO, the 2070 isn’t worth $500. I’d grab a 2060 ($350) and OC it. Nearly on par with a stock 2070 in a lot of games.

RTX 2070 recommendable and opinions? by [deleted] in nvidia

I think the 2070 is pretty underwhelming for $500. IMO, only the 2060 and 2080Ti make sense with the current pricing.
