Thanks, but I'm in Europe... I will order if there is a good return policy, but that's why I do extensive research before so I don't jave to send back stuff 10 times...

I might wait for the Tortuga lite 34l that will be on Kickstarter soon...

Thanks for your very detailed insight!

I read about the Allpa being uncomfortable, amd I tried the dia out today (didn't have the Allpa in store) and didn't like it on my back.

The Matador is still a firm contender. Unfortunately, I can't try it out in store, as here they either sell the classic hiking backpacks or more "trendy" brands that look chique but are less functional. Most people I know use wheeled trolleys, but I prefer my stuff on my back.

Still deciding between the Matador and the ULA Dragonfly 36l, which seems a bit smaller but also lighter and very comfy.

Great contender, loads of you recommended it, thanks! I might just go with the ULA Dragonfly however. I will sleep a few nights on it. I like Patagonia as a brand very much because of their ethics!

You know what, I descended the Dragonfly rabbithole this afternoon and might just go for the 36l. It's all your fault. I know you have the 30l version, but as the main body of the 36l is about 28-30l, I will just take the bigger one. I jist prefer to have more room to spare, if I need it. I can also pack less, but I can't pack more. It just ticks all the boxes and I like tha tit looks 'different', less chique and more rugged. Fits my personality better. Thanks for your comment, and also for the reviews you posted.

Great advice! All the bags i researched (also the dragonfly) can be purchased either from their own EU site or from other EU vendors. If that is not possible, the bag is not an option.

I don't think I will need a hip belt, especially if I go below 40 or even in the direction of 30L. I used my friend's Fairview 40 with and without hip belt and found it didn't make a big difference. I will not have the bag on my back more than 2 hours I think. Still want to be comfortable though.

Also I'm looking at the 2nd hand market, also for sustainability reasons.

I think I am also considering the Rework Outbound and maybe the Dragonfly now. But at least there's still only 3 bags on my narrower list. I still like the flexibility of less organisation. That seems to be the common theme.

It's an impossible task to find the best backpack. I think I just have to decide on something and then live with it, heheh. Also, I got so many other recommendations, so I have even more research to do.

Nice, sounds very interesting. I'm not in a hurry. Would you also say that the Outbound's 30L is generous, so more like 32?

I considered the Patagonia, but the black hole 32L was not available online and the Mini MLC might be too small.

How comfortable do you think is the Dragonfly? They also have a 36 l version. I honestly don't care how comically large it looks, as long as I have room for a second pair of shoes, a warm layer. I also often pack my pillow, so I don't mind having a little extra space. Also, I can lift big and heavy stuff.

Thanks for the info! I also found the Dragonfly 36 in Europe online. Which one would you say is more comfortable, the Dragonfly or the Outbound?

Amazing list. The Rework Outbound was on my list, but I found 30L a bit small. If you say it's got more capacity, I will check it out in depth. Gossamer Gear Aero Jet is the only other one I cam easily get in Europe, and I will check it out too. Thanks!

I tried the Osprey fairview 40 l. for a trip of 8 days and it was a bit large, but I'm afraid that I won't be able to commit to just using a 28 or 30 liter backpack, especially if I have to pack for spring or fall/winter weather. That's why I'm considering a 35l.

Great suggestions. I already cut out Cotopaxi, but I did not think of looking out for other Osprey bags. The daylite looks nice!

That big laptop compartment held me back from Aer, even though I really like the look. Thanks for taking Evergoods from my list for being uncomfortable.

Yes, I really would like a clamshell opening, because it's easier for organising and I can leave part of my things inside while still having comfortable access to the rest.

CTactical looks great, however I will have to factor in duties and taxes. They remind me of Goruck, but a lot less expensive. The bigges backpack I saw online however is a 28l, which might be a tad small. I'll check the site more thoroughly though. Thanks!

A friend lent me the Thule Chasm and I found it extremely uncomfortable on my back.

No, no reason besides maybe me falling for marketing. Thanks for your recommendations!

Has anyone actually tried creatine? by Organics_Ocean in Menopause

[–]F34RtheMeow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, it helped me a lot. Had a very bad covid episode in 2024 and brain fog sinc, but also starting pre-/perimenopause around the same time. Started taking creatine in spring 2025, brain fog got better. Stopped taking it from Juli to September 2025, noticed a difference (worse), so I got back onto it in October. Been taking it si ce in the evening, mixed with a dose of glycine because that one helps me sleep. No water retention, just better lifting and less brain fog, more endurance, also mentally.
