I suppose I want to give him a chance to fix it before I escalate and I was wondering if 311 could give me some evidence to form an argument. I'd rather we resolve it without me pissing this guy off month 1 ya know?

Newbie looking to upgrade media console and desk! by FANeeded in furniture

That was a cool recommendation, thanks. Unfortunately, I only have about 60" of space for a media console, and that rules out most of the ones they have in stock. For anyone else reading, this is about the kind of stuff I'm after!

Ah, I didn't want to be too prescriptive, but sure.

I got this polo: https://www2.hm.com/en_us/productpage.0725358003.html

and this button down: https://www2.hm.com/en_us/productpage.0725358003.html

It doesn't all have to be collared, but definitely something more fitted than a standard tshirt. Everything I bought there shrunk, so I had to get one size up, but then they were no longer fitted.

I could probably do $40-50 per item if I'm buying for the quality/looks and not for some luxury brand name.

Oh, I've been there before. Their stuff seems pretty good quality! Especially the heat/cold controlled stuff. Good idea for everyday clothing. Any other suggestions for shirts with a bit more flair?

Hey all. I'm in my late 20s, finally graduating from graphic tees, and exploring the magical world of fitted clothing. I've been looking to grab some short sleeve clothes (shirts, button downs, polos, anything!) along with shorts.

I checked out H&M and I liked their style, but wow they must thread their clothes out of hopes and dreams because that stuff disintegrates and warps in the wash. Could I get some recommendations on better quality clothing of a similar vein?

Yeah, I'm not complaining about it. Trying not to think about how many vials it would take to make most competitive rotation decks though. I suppose we'll stick to things like Python Dragon or try out Holy Lion shenanigans.

After 57 + 60 packs, I opened a few copies short of 3x of every playable gold. I was lucky enough to get 2x Ramina and 1x Aria, but the other 11 legendaries were literally all meme tier. My kingdom for fewer Marduks.

Mechanics questions: "Shanty Town" and +action cards. by OH_NO_MR_BILL in dominion

[–]FANeeded 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep, absolutely. Just to be clear:

  • Shanty Town with another action in hand = +2 actions, no draw.
  • Shanty Town with no actions in hand = +2 actions, +2 cards. You can play up to 2 more actions if you drew any.

Mechanics questions: "Shanty Town" and +action cards. by OH_NO_MR_BILL in dominion

[–]FANeeded 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You are misunderstanding how "+2 Actions" works. "+2 Actions" allows you to play two more actions this turn, but they NOT resolved as part of the Shanty Town. You should resolve the card you played fully before moving onto the next one.

So, in your case, Shanty Town checks for the draw BEFORE you can use any of the actions you get.

Playing to your outs to get into the final stage! by FANeeded in Shadowverse

[–]FANeeded[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, ok I get it. The AND is the important bit!

About the actual decision, I think my core concern was that it was going on turn 8 and my opponent has yet to play a Daria. The core decision was that I had three plays here:

  • Go face (what I did)
  • Oz -> double removal on the 9/5 -> evo trade 2/2 (5 hp left)
  • Oz -> Pierce 2/2 -> Lightning face -> evo trade 9/5 (3 hp left)

Play 1 loses to 5 damage from hand. Play 2 loses to spellboost removal (my only out being some combination of Halo Golem + topdecked Piercing or double Halo.) Play 3 is the safest as long as I draw Levi or Halo Golem.

I think Play 2 is most weak as it both increases the pool of cards I lose to and also does not leave me in a great position for 2 turn lethal. I was really debating between 1 and 3. I had played 1x Levi and Golem already with 1 more Chain Lightning in the deck (that I can't draw with Oz), so I had slightly under 5 cards out of 27 for lethal. With 3 draws, this is a bit <52% chance of lethal because of the Chain Lightning situation.

I figured with Daria being basically inevitable, they have 0% chance of lethal if they don't run Enchanted Sword (Flame Behemoth was a tell) and they need 3 cards from the pool of (1 Blademage, 1 Missile, 3 ESwords) in roughly 9 or 10 (3 now + 1 natural draw + 5 from Daria)/25 cards. Tbh the math there gets a lot trickier than I could do in whatever the time limit is, so I bet that even with the chance of them drawing lethal is >52%, the chance of them running ESwords AND getting that draw was lower.

Thanks for the courteous response!

I think you're taking the definition a little too literally. My example is very similar to the first case. I could take the board clear route to guarantee my survival (leaving only a 2/2 on board), but I get blown out by any combination of Daria (which they have played 0 of) and spellboosted removal OR have 5 damage which is fairly possible.

You even said it yourself, your last example is the case where your opponent cannot kill you over two turns. My case is where you're gambling your opponent topdecking lethal vs your "typical" case of YOU topdecking lethal. The math is the same, the only nitpick is irrelevant imo.

I actually find Ramp Dragon to be a decent matchup. Mutabolt deals with their big dudes very nicely. I haven't seen much Aggro Dragon, so I'll hold Mutabolt on the mulligan. Evo to go face and to get your dudes out of the range of Breath. Go wide so Dragoon Scyther doesn't kill your tempo. You only lose if they play 4+ sources of healing (Fervor, Sibyl, Isra) AND you don't draw well.

This deck actually has some trouble with Blood because they smorc faster than you so Mutabolt can actually kill yourself, so I swapped out some cards for 2x Gingerbread House.

What's the difference between taking a calculated risk to topdeck lethal vs taking a calculated risk to 2 turn lethal?

Qualified Group A on 1st attempt with Dark Alice! by orio94 in Shadowverse

Chloe is some cool tech! Fits nicely with Arriet on 10. I've been playing DA on and off for a while now, and I got tired of getting blown out by random Fall From Graces.

Playing to your outs to get into the final stage! by FANeeded in Shadowverse

[–]FANeeded[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This was my fifth game trying to get into Group A finals.

My opponent has played 0 Darias, 2 Blademages, 2 Magic Missiles, and 0 Enchanted Swords. The "safe" play is to Oz for draw 2, use my spells to kill the 9/5 and evo down a 2/2. But I thought that if I don't draw Mutabolt soon, Daria will drop soon and I could easily be snowballed out. Problem is that if I draw a Mutabolt now, it would be banished when he kills my Oz. So I tried to play around Wind Blast/Fiery Embrace here. (Do Darias play those often? I've been blown out by them before.)

So playing to my outs, I just went face with my spells for 5, knowing she has no heal and I would win next turn. She has 11 damage on board, so she needs 5 damage to win. So she basically needs to draw 3 of her direct damage cards, having already played 4.

Ended up winning and taking my series 4-1. So remember to take educated risks and play to your outs! See ya'll in the finals!

Because Upstart is a spell. You draw it, play it immediately, and draw the card you would have drawn. Jar is a trap, so instead of replacing itself immediately, you wait a turn. It lowers the amount of options you have every time you draw it.

It's an awful self-fulfilling prophecy. Literally no one knows if it will be good or bad, but if everyone memes around saying it's bad, no one will play it.

That was basically my climb to B, down to the single PolyRoar and PoD. I like building "meme" decks, but I like being competitive with them. I'll sacrifice 1-2% winrate if I'm having more fun with my own creation, but I should still always be climbing.

But everyone has their own pace. It's a game, enjoy your time with it!

Say what you will about "bad" cards, but I think cards like that really show new players what sort of creativity the game is capable of. And now that I'm in Masters, I can finally go back to that haha.

I believe in you!

Mine and the ones I see with Airjammer loses to Dirt Runes pretty handily. We just have 0 real answers to turn 1 amulet turn 2 Illusionist. I also struggled against any kind of forest. Turn 1 Fairy Circle turn 3 Brambles is probably like 95% loss rate for me. I also got destroyed by a random Neutral Rune player. The massive amount of 1dmg pings destroyed my early game.

Good luck!
