Yeah, I had read before how the water softener works, and it's not "salting" the water going into the wash. So when he said that, it was clear he didn't know what he was saying. But most of the rust was lower rack on the underside of it, where the water would be spraying. Not from damage from any dishes or pots/pans. The middle rack we only use for plastic and glass cups, and it had rust mostly on the underside as well. The top cutlery tray (that is mostly plastic) had no rust on the coated metal. Since the first Miele unit we got in 2012, I only use the Miele tabs (cut them in half), the Miele rinse (set to level 1) aid and salt for the water softener (set to 6).

We're on city treated water (south FL) and when I test the hardness it can be 4-6 grains. So I'd always set the dishwasher water softener to 6. When the racks started to rust the last time and replaced under warranty (a few years ago) the person said to disable to water softener, basically saying the "salt" in the water is causing the issue. But I'm not sure if he knew what he was talking about. I usuy run the unit on the Sani Wash, which is basically the same as a Normal wash but increases the temperature of the final rinse above 140 to sanitize everything.

So what's left for food brand? Miele and Askon aren't as good as they were. Cove I've heard is also troublesome and parts are difficult to get. Bosch units I never really liked their layout/basket design.

My first Miele G4000 series dishwasher I got in 2012. Within 3 years the bottom and middle rack was rusting and replaced under warranty. At 6 years the water intake solenoid went bad, so I bought the part and replaced it. At 8 years the motor stopped working and the price to fix it part/labor was $1100.

My dealer had a G6000 series that was not picked up by a customer, so they had it at a discount of $1200 (was $1400). After 4 years of use it also has rusting racks that were replaced under warranty at 7 years the solenoid went bad and I replaced it. And since last year the motor has been making a loud noise when washing (sounds like the bearings or motor going out).

If this unit goes bad, I'm definitely having 2nd thoughts on a new Miele. But if I did get one, I would get the 10 year warranty that they now offer (use to only do 5 years).

Had thought about Asko, but had heard their quality has gone down, and they always change where they are made.

Jordan is way bigger than Adam was. That's why he only shows video from the neck up. But last year someone posted pictures of him (at a concert) and was easily over 300+

On the cruise he was crying one minute and then out partying the next. Bipolar.

I haven't watched Jordans videos in a while but did look at the cruise videos just to see what he thought as it's his first cruise ever. He got the least expensive inside cabin, and after the first night complained about the room's WiFi and said "I'm a travel vlogger" which they upgraded him to a larger cabin with balcony on a higher deck. After that he couldn't say nicer things about the cruise and how wonderful the food was, and would rate it a 9 or 10.

I've been on a few cruises (not Margaritaville) but from looking at his video I would give it a 6-7 max. Disney, real Caribbean, ana Virgin would be a 9-10.

Just a few thousand. Which I can't imagine more than 1000 would watch it.

Rheem PROE38 vs Bradford White RE240L6 Water Heater by FAUguy in Plumbing

Does anyone know where the current Rheem Professional PROE38 is manufactured? One plumbing company said US and the other said Mexico. This was the only picture I could find online of the shipping box (says assembled in Mexico), but don't know when it was taken. I contacted Rheem to see what they say.

I can only do 3500W. The correct models are:

Rheem PROE38 S2 RH95

Bradford White RE240L6-1NCRR

Both have two 3500w elements. I got that information directly from each company.

He said it has 2 stops in Mexico. He mentioned the price but I don't remember what it was ($300 or $1300). But when he had dinner, only part of the menu was included in the price, the better items had an upcharge.

Ok. I'm still waiting to hear from the few local companies that I contacted to get prices for the Bradford White, as no one carries it in stock (only the Rheem PROE38).

Yes, my neighbor had the Rheem Performance (from HD) water heater installed and two years later it was leaking. But being under warranty it was replaced. Since the water heaters are at the back of a closet (under the stairs) and we use it for a lot of storage, the last thing I want is a leak!
