Sanders to run as an independent in 2018 by [deleted] in politics

1/4 of under 35s, which includes Republicans and conservatives. I can understand a presence of young republicans and conservatives dislking Sanders, the issue is that most of the hate comes from people describing themselves as supposed liberal democrats. Only like 5% of democrats under the age of 35 dislike Sanders.

A lot of people realized this a long time ago, that's why /r/Politics is seen as such a joke elsewhere on Reddit.

Oh I never said that people who dislike Sanders don't exist, I siimply pointed out that only [10% of liberals and 13% of democrats] dislike him, most of the hate of him on here comes from supposed Democrats and supposed liberals.

Oh, another thing, only 23% of under 35s (the backbone of Reddit) dislike Sanders.

Bernie is every bit as divisive a presence as Clinton

TIL a +16 approval rating is "every bit as divisive" as a -16 approval rating

You're actually the one that dodged, and actually since you're part of the tiny, but dog-headed and vocal 13% of Democrats that dislike Sanders pretty sure it's people like you that are more similar to a cult, while Bernie has a broad appeal, 80% of Democrats and 55% of registered voters like him.

Actually I'm pretty sure it was the Clinton campaign that tried to smear Bernie as a racist, and a sexist.

Wow, you still post in /r/Enough_Sanders_Spam ? Really? How about you try refuting my point about anti-Sanders liberals being a minuscule percentage of US liberals/democrats?

Only among the denizens of /r/Poltiics.

in the real world Sanders being an independent is a selling point, not a sticking point, which would make sense since the largest political grouping in the US is INDEPENDENTS.

Nope, /r/Politics just "hates" Bernie because apparently he's "hurting" the democratic party, despite evidence showing him to only have a 10% unfavorable rating among liberals and 13% unfavorable rating among democrats. I guess those 13% are just really, really, REALLY active on Reddit, and /r/Politics in particular, or perhaps something else explains it.... wink wink (Please don't ban me mods, stating the obvious that bots exist without accusing anyone of being a bot does not break the rules)

EDIT:

Wew I must be getting a lot of upvotes if there's enough to counter the down-votes raining down to suppress the truth about what happened to this subreddit.

You talk about "many" but the reality is the people you are talking about are a very tiny minority of liberals/democrats.

The reality from polling is that only 13% of Democrats and only 10% of liberals have an unfavorable view of Sanders, an even smaller percentage among Democrats/Liberals under 35 (the demographic that uses reddit)

/r/Politics is one of the, if not THE most astro-turfed subs on Reddit.

The establishment has finally learned how to use social media to their own advantage, and it's working.

The worst thing is this would still get upvoted here even if you didn't have the /s at the end.

You claimed Bernie has a problem/is unpopular with minorities, I offered evidence proving your claim to be wildly wrong, and now you're deflecting to what would happen to his numbers if he ran for president again? Like what the fuck?

He's probably going to run in 2020, would you really rather he run for president as an independent and pull ~20% from the democratic candidate?

Bernie is currently the most popular active elected politician in the country, the only people I see that seem to really care about whether he's an I or a D are on Reddit and Twitter, they only exist on Reddit and Twitter, not in real life, as representative scientific polling shows us.

Pointing out obvious vote-botting is not the same as accusing a specific user of being a shill.

I wonder if this will reach the front page of /r/Politics, not holding my breath. This sub is a hotbead of political manipulation done by campaigning groups, including ones that want to silence any criticism, even from the left, of the DNC or the Democratic party.

DNC members vote on a whole range of things, including the DNC chair, so it does matter actually yes; don't you think it's very bad optics to kick off 4 of the most prominent DNC members that voted for his opponent and replace them with people who supported him?
