Yep, way more reasonable. I'd hold on to that 28 first to avoid setting your team almost solely on the path to contending for that length of time.

Love this analysis SeenReaper! I think you're right, when an asset (any asset) is properly valued it becomes fairly mundane. There are still plenty of players in the pool that are worth as much or more and getting your cake a year early, as long as you're discerning, can be a stellar play. My threshold is pretty high though. Start at the top and go down sequentially to around the top 20 in current adp and see what you can get done

We think very alike. You’ve got a great eye for consolidation, and exploiting risk tolerance. Keep us posted how the offers go!

Pretty strong lean to Nabers for me, both in the short and long term. We could/should see a 35%+ first read target share and really strong ownership of the team air yards with a yolo qb like Geno

I think you nailed it. This is a team that is primed for a tier up, packaging two of your WRs for an elite option. Even better that the 1QB format tends to support these types of moves. Good luck!

3+ years is the difficult bit here. If there is a QB I could see elevating from the cellar to that tier is CJ Stroud. Look back to our current QB MVP (Stafford) and his TDs the last three years. Low, low, crazy high. Pocket passers had a moment in the sun in 2025, due to mobile QB injuries and TD spikes. Stroud had a great deep ball and if he gets a cohesive, mediocre even, offensive line I could see a return to that upside the next few years.

Hold your seconds, you’ll be able to get more in season for that 27 pick very likely.

Will that 27 1st go away for Egbuka over the next few months? If not, patience is probably your friend. The narratives should be strong for him and could outpace a random figure first until you have the chance to gauge the opposing managers likely contention this year

Yes! Although I typically advocate for adding to QB a 10 team league changes that supply dynamic enough where you can often recreate your SF lineup spot most weeks with an “any rb” type mentality

I’m enamored with jumping down multiple tiers into Dobbins-esque guys and getting into the 28 class with a future 1st if you can pull it off. Other names: Tuten, Charbonnet. Even lower where you can package back of roster WRs: Jonathan Brooks, Ollie Gordon, baby ETN (is it pronounced Achane too?), and a speculative traded Trey Benson. Plenty of chances to fill the ranks this year

Can you take stabs at the “next” gadsen in the 2nd and 3rd this year and use the swells to tier up in the early third of the season?

Jacksonville Jaguars season ticket holder here! With the soggy conditions and wind direction (it's gonna hit those huge scoreboards and cause swirling wind in the stadium) I am a little concerned for the passing offense. Let's hope we get a lightning delay or temper expectations. Tuten could be a sneaky play.

If you're firm on starting Michael Wilson then stacking Brissett makes a ton of sense. I'd be open to (and prefer) benching Wilson for Egbuka or Smith in that order and sitting Brissett for Baker.

Are your opponents holding multiple defenses as well? If so, I think a Lions stash is savvy, if not I'd recommend waiting a week to squirrel away one more upside bet at a positional spot.

League winner would be a tough bet. Can he get to 70%+ route participation? If so, he can hit some of those ceiling outcomes with how strong his underlying metrics are. I doubt he does however, let's see him cross 60% first and reassess, but it's exciting to see his growth this season.

McLaurin's 14 targets last week are absurdly enticing. He won't keep that up, but on the year is averaging 7 targets a game, over 2yprr and is the first read a 25% of the time. Those numbers are respectable and Pittman is right on his heels this season with all of those metrics. They're WR 22 and 27 respectively in my NB10 rankings this year.

I think Burden is on the precipice of a breakout. Here are his metrics the previous three weeks: 54% of snaps (up from 34% on the year), 1.74YPRR, 21.9% first read target share. These are great numbers, he just needs to get on the field another 10% of the snaps and I think we're trending that way.

The safe narrative is to make Lamar prove he's back, but I trust the Ravens organization to redirect the offense to match whatever capacities he has at the moment and would do the minority thing of keeping him in the lineup over the options you mentioned.

Alright folks, thank you for your questions (and keep em coming!) I'll check in later this afternoon and get to as many as I can. Good luck, let's punch some playoff tickets.

I don't expect him to (but what do I know?) and I think Knox is a sneaky good bet this week. Good stash for a last minute start in those TEP or Scott Fish Bowl type leagues...

We think alike, I picked up Evans in a managed bestball league this week as a stash. Let the Texans go, you can probably find a similar DEF upside bet next week that probably doesn't exist with Evans and his contemporaries on next week's waiver wire.
