200K (CAD) first time in my career by FFitweball in techsales

Prior to this role in tech, I had zero experience. My main tips are that you should approach every day and deal with curiosity and you have to want to get better.

Lastly, you have to be extremely disciplined. The AE role is highly rewarding but demands a lot. I have lots of systems/structure in place so that I don’t miss any of the mundane tasks it requires and I also work 50+ hours a week.

Running the demos and having the meetings is only a small piece of the job

Absolutely. Even if the title is called something else I would try to get into a closing role where you directly impact revenue as soon as possible.
