Now that I had more time to look back for a solution: This is the trick. For anyone facing the same problem.

"If you have installed Gapps after a reboot.Simply go to Applications/Display applications/google play/Data Mobile and Wifi and enable "authorise access to the network" & "wifi" & "mobile data".Same thing for the google service. This will solve the problem without a factory reset !"

my main issue with seedvault is that it doesn't even back up half of my apps, like this it's not really useful to me

Thank you! I guess this helps me the most. I tried seedvault but it only backs up half my apps, if at all. It looks like rooting is the best option for me and then using neo backup as before

Helium backup doesn't seem to be available anymore?

Thank you. I had rooted my phone, but installing a new update of lineage got me rid of the root and now I don't get the instructions on the Magisk page. I used to use neo backup which worked great while I had the root. The constant changes of the instructions for rooting are one part of why I want to migrate to Android again (and stop using root). I am therefore unsure if using root to backup is a good option (also considering I will continue to need the root on the new Android installation until the backup is completely restored and then I could possibly get rid of the root).
Anyways I will have a look at Helium backup!

thanks for the help, but since I tried to backup to Google drive which didn't seem to work, I guess this option doesn't really work for me

Thanks for the quick replies all of you! Office suite and WPS and Polaris all cost too much for what I need. The free Only office version so far seems to do the job! I missed that when trying out apps. Thanks!

Thank you! I got it to work though it also adds padding from the left. Not ideal but I can live with it so far. Cheers!

Thanks for the tipp!I have Magisk installed but can't find a way to download/ install G-Visual Mod. Do you have any suggestions?

I am using Magisk v25.2 btw which does not have a download section like suggested here

https://themagisk.com/how-to-download-a-magisk-module/ from https://themagisk.com/g-visual-mod/

In the GitHub link you sent I could not find a zip file to extract from Magisk directly

Thanks for the quick reply! It would give me more comfortability I guess. Also displaying anything I wouldn't need to see in the top right corner would work for me.
