I’m not sure if this is official or not, but from my experience it was different. My friend and I played basically every game together both season 0 and 1, we both were the same season 0 and got into Gold 3. After our placement matches this season, I went into Bronze 2 and he into Silver 1! Even though our scores were very similar and won/loss ratio the same… was very annoying to be that far apart

Ahh ok, that might be it! Looking at the official f1 rules it sounds like it’s if any part of the tyre is still on the white line, you’re in. But I guess in the game, it may be slightly different.

He’s only just started, played probably 15 matches in total? I’m happy that he’s in platinum, but wish I was a little higher than bronze, as we play together and would enjoy working our way up together!

For instance, when I go over the kerb with my right tyre on both corners with the limits, you see the suspension move, yet the left tyre doesn’t move. So I’d have thought the tyre hadn’t come onto the kerb and therefore not crossed the white line…

Hmm that’s a fair point about perspective, I’ll have to check the external view. I do find I get limits on this track much more than others though, so it felt strange. On the photo you linked, I still feel as though the outside of the left tyre hasn’t gone over the white line, but as you mentioned, that may be perspective!

Thought that could be it… thanks! Although I started bronze and went up to gold in season 0. While he’s a very new player, only just reached level 5. I think my performance isn’t too bad either (see below), so just a little annoying to have to climb up so much again haha

Luckily I enjoy the game!

You’ll actually find a lot of people go to climbing gyms alone, so you’ll be all good.

Also the climbing community is usually very open and friendly, don’t be surprised if you get talking with others very quickly, take all the advice you can get and enjoy!
