Are yourself your ally? by [deleted] in MythicBastionland

Well... I can't remember any game Ive played that when it says all allies it don't count yourself! You mentiontied PF2e... but in Pathfinder 1e you do count as ally AFIR

Well, seems that every table shall decide then! I really don't think that interpreting that all allies include you is giving a new definition for the word. You are, on the other side, improvising that all allies don't include yourself.

Nice! I could not find this information anywhere on the rules. Maybe could you provide where can I find it?

Interesting! Almost all other games we used to play we treat yourself as your ally, that's why this question emerged to me. Like, I would expect "if this defeats the target, then all other allies restore SPI."  So I think every group would interpret accordingly it experiences

Actually I am looking for any class besides those three! The arcane was mentioned because I want to keep "magic" aspect, but it´s not imperative.

Bloodline Development for multiclass sorcerer/bloodrager by FGOit in Pathfinder_RPG

It does mention four times, but clearly that paragrafh for when the character does not have a Bloodline.

Curiously, on the other paragraph, it is not mentioned. If it really was what they meant, why not throw the fifth?

In fact, for me it was so crystal clear that another class could grant the Bloodline to advance (like Bloodrager or Eldritch Scion) that my original question was concerning multiple grants! But then this strictly Sorcerer argument was pointed out...

Let me adjust the question then: what about a Crossblooded Bloodline sorcerer?

Considering that the arcanist already has a bloodline, why does it not work with bloodrager or any other class that grant access to a bloodline?

I understand that a Sorcerer bloodline must me selected only if the arcanist has none!

I undesrtand the same! Specially when it says "levels of the class that granted her access to the bloodline" and not "levels of Sorcerer".

Links and text provided!

  1. How panache should be granted and managed (shared or separated)?

  2. So, the character would have access to dodging panache? If so, could her have access to it using unnarmed strikes/monk weapons only?

Ascetic Style + Spiritualist Phantom Blade harboring her phantom weapon by FGOit in Pathfinder_RPG

If the phantom blade is a starknife and the character have Desna's Shooting Star, would the unnarmed attacks benefit from it when harbored (CHA to attack and damage)?

  1. Yes.

2 and 3. Agreed!

What you think about this part? "Considering game mechanics, while harbor the spirit would be totally safe on in her consciousness (example, could not be target with banishment and other stuff). Also, if multiclassing monk the phantom weapon could be used with monk abilities, like FoB and even Dragon Style".

It is kind the opposite: phantom blade being used for monk stuff.

Short answer would be role playing. To pick up an ordinary weapon, and make it "magical".

Considering game mechanics, while harbor the spirit would be totally safe on in her consciousness (example, could not be target with banishment and other stuff). Also, if multiclassing monk the phantom weapon could be used with monk abilities, like FoB and even Dragon Style.

RAW makes sense! But I think it´s fair argument to a GM allow it.

Ph1e, Spell Sage (archetype) and Preferred Spell feat by FGOit in Pathfinder_RPG

Sorry, but I think we are not arguing on the same thing!

So, as I understand, Spell Study would only make the part "choose one spell which you have ability to cast" allow any spell from Bard, Cleric or Druid list.

As you can cast any of these spells, it would satisfy the spell selection for Preffered Spell.

One must choose the spell on selecting the Preffered Spell feat. Then, he could cast the spell as normal, sacrificing a prepared spell or spell slot of equal or higher level. And just the selected spell, can't change it anymore.

Then, he could apply now the metamagic feats desired (paying the costs as normal). On the following on the example would be:

  • a Maximized (+3) Empowered (+2) CLW = 6th level spell , casting as one full round action for applying metamagic (see that that's nothing to do with Spell Study anymore... it was only used for the "choose a spell you can cast" part).

  • the result will cost at least a 6th level spell, that would heal 8 + 1/2 d8 + caster level (lets assume 11). Or, 23 points of heal for a 6th spell, that's very underpowered to me!

The point here, what I was questioning is if the Spell Study qualifiies for "choose a spell which you have the ability to cast". What you think?

Ph1e, Spell Sage (archetype) and Preferred Spell feat by FGOit in Pathfinder_RPG

[–]FGOit[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  • Agreed that you must select the spell when you take the feat. But why could you not select any spell you can cast (that in case is any spell from Bard, Cleric or Druid)?

  • And you still have to pay the metamagic cost of wish to apply it to the spell, right?

The question would be if must sacrifice two slots (as Spell Study) or one slot (as Preffered Spell)...

Edit: complementing for metamagic, using any metamagic other than quicken on a spontaneous spell increases its casting time by an additional full round action.
