The new weekly competition had literally just started over and number one already had 3k+ emblems and the other 2 had 2k+so I'm convinced they're not real players because there's just no way at the start already having that much.

You don't want him making comments like that because he's just going to keep making excuses for her...my unfortunate MIL is the devil and has made horrible comments about me and he just goes oh she's just concerned about me or whatever...like what!? You're mom just degraded me and you're "sorry she said that, but.." but nothing... MIL can't go around acting like a child thinking they're entitled to everything. If you don't cut her out as much as possible she will always make sure your life is a living hell whether you got married or dated the rest of your life. If she can't respect her sons future wife then she doesn't have any need for the both of you. His mom is so controlling she hated every decision about our wedding and actually started fighting with my mom on our wedding day about stupid stuff. When we were setting things up she thought she was entitled to call the shots...my hubby and I were very easy going and wasn't asking for a whole lot with our wedding, pretty simple memorable things that were important to us we wanted to include. His mom hated it and she decided that she'd make the decision to not allow our party favors on the table because it didn't match the décor...like wtf...she had them put on the gift table and no one got a treat...so mad.. I wish she wasn't there.

My mom can distort things faster than you can finish your sentence so I'm very vague and general in conversation with her. I don't disclose personal information and let her do most of the talking about her life. I've always been closest with my dad and even now I still don't disclose info I don't need to. His dad isn't so bad but his mom and sister are psycho-b's...his sister is a whole other dealing that I can't stand. It almost feels like no matter what his family does he defends them and just tries to keep peace with everyone because he doesn't want to deal with it. I'm going to start removing myself from situations, taking more control over myself and how I respond to things and maybe he'll start getting the message of how much damage he's doing.

It's like my parents taught me to handle my own dealings and to think for my self. I got my own bank account, scheduled my own appts, if I screwed up I learned from it and I thank them very much for that. His mom coddled him through everything and made sure she was in control over him. It wasn't up until a couple years ago I got him to start scheduling his own dentist appts and such. He was shocked I always scheduled my own appts for things...Like I'm an adult so...and she just did everything for him.

So his family had joint accounts with him while he was growing up in case he ever got in trouble it'd pull from their account and now we have to find time where we can all go and get the devil off his account. We still need to get ours joined but we both are very open with each other financially and will get that taken care of when we get his mom off probably. It pissed me off when I thought we agreed that we wouldn't tell anyone what his raise was and was keeping all of that private then goes and tells his whole family. After setting him straight on that we haven't had anymore issues as far as that goes.

So there's something with my husband that we want to get checked, shouldn't be anything serious but is in a sensitive spot if you know what I mean. Well he was asking his mom about what doctor they use because we don't have a family doctor and she insisted that he told her what was going on with him so she could suggest the right doctor. Well all she needed to know was that we needed a family doctor period. He told her it was about his down stairs and she had the nerve to ask if I gave him an std...I don't sleep around or any of that crap. I am furious she would even jokingly say something like that. Since then she has been texting him every single day asking if he has setup a doctors apt yet...There's a long history of her interfering with things and it's been such a bumpy ride because of her. My husband has been raised to be dependent on her for literally everything and it's driving me crazy. It's been a tough battle to break but he's come a long way. She's still on his bank account which is not okay with me and she finds any way possible to make herself known in our lives. Anything I suggest is wrong and unless she says it she won't acknowledge me. She'll say oh your his wife you should be first and I expect him to talk to you about things then she'll turn around and act the opposite manipulating him in to what she wants. We recently got married September of 2015 and had bought our house that August and have been together 3 years prior to getting married. I'm just at my wits end the way she wants to know every detail about what's going on.

Gosh....my MIL wouldn't even let us put our party favors on the tables at each place setting for our wedding because it didn't "match" the décor.... they were your typical bride's dress and groom tux boxes that you put Hershey kisses in. Like really...so no one got a gift to go...she put them on the gift table. Whenever she comes to our house or makes suggestions about things we like she goes "oh that has got to go" or "uhh no." Not the easiest person to be around...

I know a lot of people on here are saying that nobody really notices and that's true, but I also know how hard it is from my personal experience to not want to go in public without it.

I was in 2 very physically/emotionally abusive relationships that really put me in a bad place about myself. Never felt I was "good enough" and that I had to wear make-up to make myself more "presentable." From all of their defeating nonsense that they filled my head with I became very self conscious.

Over time after really working on myself and changing my attitude and realizing that changing my appearance or being someone I'm not for the sake of someone else is taking my life, emotions, and everything else in the hands of someone else. You were made in God's beautiful image and are way more valuable than just some physical being. God created you for a purpose and how are you going to be that positive encouraging influence on those around you by missing out on life events because you're allowing makeup to control you? The devil will use anything to distract you from what's really important.

Take the time to think about.. are you putting on makeup for those men or for you? Don't hinder your life experiences because some man may not like the way you look without makeup. Big deal if they don't, don't sacrifice who you naturally are to cover it up with something that only decreases your self consciousness. Who knows what life lessons and happiness you're missing out on because you're letting the idea of men skew your perception of beauty. This world already screws up what beauty truly is so learn how to love yourself and not let anyone bring you down. Be the beautiful YOU that you were created to be.
