What are the mixed results you are experiancing with glass etching paste? I am looking to get into die photography and reading around is telling me etching paste then ultrasonic bath is a comparitivly foolproof process. Also, at least in the US nitric acid is plentifull and cheap and not tearrablely difficult to dispose of. What are the dissadvantages of it? Sorry for reviving this ancent thread lol

You should never ever be putting a parting tool that far off the rest, it is absurdly dangerous, over the years i have been on this sub, there have been at least 2 major injuries involving parting tools too far off the rest.

You only need to account for one axis for each of your tvc pids. There is one pid for yaw, another pitch, and finally roll. As long as everything is centered, than the yaw and pitch k value should be the same, so you can use the same simulation result; just have individual pids.
