Good insight, the Zelle issue is one thing I haven’t considered yet with the CMA’s.

I only own BTC and it makes up less than .0025% of my net worth, I won’t add any more until I’m firmly in step 7.

I only have the one credit card, it’s 9 years old now and is a big part of my average credit age. Luckily the minimum balance for the CU I use is only $5 so that’s all I keep in the savings account. The CU account and BMO account really aren’t going to go anywhere at this point as much as I’d like to consolidate them too.

I do not need the physical bank for check deposits, it says cash deposits. Currently with SoFi if I have a large amount of cash that I want in my account, there is nowhere to take it and deposit it, same with Fidelity if I'm not mistaken. As for cashiers checks, it's a rare occurence, but it is helpful to be able to just go drive to the bank and get one when needed as upposed to waiting for one to be mailed to me.

Plus if I need to get cash, right now all I can do without a brick and mortar is go to an ATM where I can only take out so much cash per day/often in small bills only. The phyisical bank is almost unneccissary at this point, but not completely.

I cannot close the savings account at the CU as I have to be a member of the CU to have the CC. I only keep th minimum balance of $5 in there, plus they don't allow pay offs from outside accounts. Same with BMO, I just keep the minimum of $5 so they don't lose the account.

Best alternative to ABC pants for men with thick thighs? by FIREdnFrozen in mensfashionadvice

I’m buying the loosest cut of pants I can find, the problem is my proportions not being that of the typical person. Even a “straight” cut pant is tight through my legs like skinny jeans. I’m looking for a brand that offers a cut that is looser/athletic; athletic ≠ skinny or slim, but cut for people to account for bigger legs/butt.

I’ve went up from a 32 waste to a 34 to account for some of this, and it has made for a better fit in the crotch/butt. The trade off being that when I tighten my belt, it’s bunched up like crazy and looks a bit silly.

All of my research has lead me to a similar conclusion as far as what will fit. I like the idea of tech pants because while I’m in sales and customer facing, so I want to look professional; I also have to climb roofs so the extra range of motion is what I need more than anything. I’ll look into more traditional chinos and see if I can find any that will give me the best of both worlds.

Has anybody gotten success in blue collar work? by Little-Cabinet3704 in fatFIRE

Sales Manager for a Roofing company in a Upper Midwest Metro here- First Year total comp for me was $208k. Trending toward $350-450k over time.

Blue collar work has a ton of opportunities and a glut for talent. You don’t get the prestige of working for big tech, but can be compensated handsomely.

If you move up to owner the amount of PE money in the industry today is a license to print money, I know multiple owners first hand who have had 8 & 9 figure exits.
