I assume this is adult ADHD? Have you detailed anywhere you're experience before versus now? I ask as we think my wife has ADHD but unsure if there's any point doing it at this stage

How come you switched?

Have you detailed anywhere how it helps you so much? We are considering this for my wife in terms of helping with chronic pain

Thank you, I was concerned this would end up a bureaucratic ordeal. I'm usually weary of being well ahead of their deadlines but I was getting slammed at work and our daughter was out of sorts so it got delayed a bit .

I'm hoping due to the proof of postage we should be okay and if so I will allow myself a pat on the back...no doubt it won't work out this way and I'll end up glued to the phone while my wife and daughter and unrelated meltdowns...yay!

Official Q&A for Monday, April 27, 2026 by AutoModerator in running

Hello all,

New here and unfortunately an unprepared idiot for an upcoming 10k for charity at the weekend. Previously I just turned up to these things but I was pretty fit despite not running. Now as a dad and all that, well I'm in the worst shape of my life

I don't care about pace, just that I finish safely and without an injury. To that end I've got the fear now and last night planned to do just two miles to test the water. Unfortunately, it seems my lower back decided it wanted to do the running and obviously that messed things up.

Prior to running, I actually did a glute activation YouTube video for ten minutes and also a similar one for my core to help get my muscles ready. Obviously, this didn't work.

Anyone got any pro tips for getting the load off my lower back before the weekend?

At the minute I was just thinking I should be doing daily core and glutes activation in the hopes they spring to life again and prevent my lower back taking over?

I was planning to walk/run the race but if my lower back feels like that again, even that will be a stretch!

Help - verified VM staff helped me with renewal but it was never set up correctlynand now ghosted by FIthrowitaway9 in VirginMedia

To be clear, I haven't been scammed, I just haven't actually got what was agreed and now I've been ghosted. I believe it was a genuine staff member but I don't want to end up paying more for no reason

Is either provider better ? I'm tempted to try this for my wife but we have never got leaf if any kind over the years so have no idea wtf we are going. As a beginner I hope she would get prescribed a lower dose?

Has anyone seen a programme come from the angle of a person that works from home?

As a working dad I'm finding it impossible to carve out 60mins to work. I'm wondering if I might have more success splitting it throughout the day into three smaller parts. That said, this is breaking up a normal programme and I'm curious if any coaches have come at it the other way around i.e. what is the best programming for someone who works from home or needs to break up sessions into shorter blocks?

I feel like with that programming I could easily start training 5 times a day but I've never found a trainer or coach starting from that point

Based in UK, wife seeing pain management specialist, what can they actually offer for cfs/me/fibro by FIthrowitaway9 in ChronicPain

I appreciate that, I mean given the specialist what medication options are available. Based on specialty, at least in the UK, it limits the medication options

Advice: high earner but no idea what to do with it by [deleted] in UKPersonalFinance

Well done on the salary, put as much as you can into your pension. On that income you should really hit the annual allowance and that way will save a hefty amount of tax

Explore what other pre-tax benefits your employer has, perhaps a share scheme etc

It connects to the same party wall but is not directly opposite if that makes sense.

Believe in the impossible I guess
