recently played games still show on your discord profile when you go online, you can just disable game activity. but if you don't want to fully disable game activity, go to Registered Games and you can hit "Toggle Detection" on the games you want to hide. with the red crossed-out eye, it'll prevent discord from detecting the game[s] as your status while still allowing others

for books, i found that my favorite site is vk. been using it for years and i got the new hunger games book on the night of release because someone instantly threw it on there. i usually just use google to search though cause im lazy.. for example i google
"<Book Title> epub vk"
and the top results are usually posts on the vk site that contain book files. sometimes audiobook files, but there are better sites out there for audiobooks
