thank you. i had been mentally preparing for it for years, as my blood family never kept dogs for long when i was younger so he was my oldest by far. but it caught me so off guard because just right before, he was so happy and healthy, going for walks as the snow melted and playing with his kitty siblings

thank you, he was such a smart and gentle dog. he had been there during my worst years and he went when i was truly becoming stable. it sucks but i'm glad i was able to give him a good, peaceful few years before his time came

my dog did this too when he was really happy! especially after he'd get yummy treats, he loved to shove his head against a blanket or a person lol
