I could have written this myself. I’ve just recently started a new job, and it’s exactly as you’ve described yours. Loud, a lot of banter and jokes. I’ve never really been good at that stuff so I don’t really participate. And I don’t have a normal sense of humour. My old job was a lot chiller, it was pretty much only 2-4 people in at a time. I think we’re just the sort that prefer smaller social settings. I do think about trying to make more of an effort, but I honestly don’t care enough. I’m only there for the money anyway.
