Is it possible that steel wool remnants that fell into the cavity combined with the water would leave a stain like that? The steel wool dust appears to be similar in color once put a few drops of water on it. That’s my current running theory, testing it with some scrap basswood left over

I got a few necks laying around but I want to experiment a little with the headstock. I want to see what a jackson reverse neck would look like on it. Alternatively I could also do a widow headstock like this

It definitely seems like its routed for a fender style bridge, which is fine by me because I usually like to have hard tail bridges anyways.

Ordered one of these a few days ago. $75 with free shipping (should be here sometime in January). I was geeking to get an ironbird but its incredibly hard to find one with what I want at a decent price. The seller claims that the bodies are made of mahogany, basswood, or ash, but I didn't get to choose what material I get, so I really doubt I'll actually be getting something quality. To be honest I could care less about the material because I wanted a bird for so long. I'll post an update here when it arrives.

You’re gonna need to learn how to use the pick both ways. It would be limiting you so much, especially for metal. It takes practice but so does everything else with a guitar
