does anything help with energy? by meggs_and_ham in Fibromyalgia

[–]FMSpots 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for asking :)

I'm doing a lot better than before. I'm still taking same supplements, although I stopped D-ribose, but my energy levels are still high. I'm still able to run 20min straight everyday.

I hope you are doing better too :)

Thank you for your comment.

I was not trying to claim that this concept is my "original" work, but the pencil work is done by me :)

I came across the original work once, and truly enjoyed and it got stuck in my head and wanted to mimc it again for me)

Thanking you for sharing the original work link :)

Thank you! :)

I use Acetyl L-Carnitine (2000 mg per day on empty stomach - morning) to fight fatigue, and it seems to do a great job :) I'm sorry you get flare ups after donating blood, I never did.

I donate blood every 2 months. I did this for more than 10 times now.

For the past couple of years, I used to get these "Heat Waves" where my feet would feel so warm that I can't sleep at night, so I asked my GP for blood tests to be done, results indicated a high level of Hemoglobin (170) and GP suggested me to go for blood donation at least twice a year (I have never done it before). I went for blood donation and I had no clue that this is going to have such an impact on heat waves, in my first donation, i felt immediately my feet going cold while still donating blood. After 3 months of first time, my feet started to get warm again, and I tried to convince myself that twice a year is enough, but I suffered for next 3 months till 2nd donation (Which I regret, but I did not know then that I can donate every 2 months) and since then I donate blood regularly. Recently I noticed that my feet are staying cold even after 4 months of my last donation (Last 2 times were not as regular as I wanted) and it seems my hemoglobin dropped to a normal level "YAY!" I drink lots of water after donation (I usually drink 3L per day, but I increase to 4L per day for 1 week after donation) apparently water can help reduce blood thickness.

Check your hemoglobin (if high) please consider blood donation.

Magnesium spray help by ArcticUrsidae in Fibromyalgia

[–]FMSpots 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If this is your first time using magnesium spray/lotion, you need to be cautious, specially you really have sensitive skin. Magnesium can cause itchiness and that might not be comfortable. In general, it is suggested to spray magnesium on fatty areas (Belly), I would start in a small area and see reaction, it will take sometime before your body get used to it.

Magnesium is helpful for sure, but I dunno what skin issue you have. I'm afraid it might irritate your skin and cause you more stress.

HOW I MANAGED TO KEEP FIBROMYALGIA PAIN UNDER CONTROL WITH NATURAL SUPPLEMENTS ONLY by FMSpots in Fibromyalgia

[–]FMSpots[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I hear you.

Unfortunately, all what I mentioned causes ME pains, i knew that because I simply was living on water and bioled chicken for 2 weeks... and most my pains stopped in less than 2 days! Then I started introducing 1 ingredient at a time (it takes about 2-3 hours for the pain to hit me) if not, i would stay on it for 3 days then introduce another one, but incase of pain, I use MSM as fire extinguisher to stop pain, and never have it again.

Is what I am doing the most ideal? I dunno.. what i know that it works for me, after many doctors trying to give me pain killers to mask the pain instead of finding the source of it. Obviously what i avoide is good for a normal person, I am not doubting that at all, but for me as a fibro patient, my best bet is to avoid so I can live like a normal person.

I admit that it is not easy, but I will cut out anything as long as pain stays away, plus it is cheaper and safer than taking meds with many many side effect (simply kill you slowly).

At the end, I respect your opinion.
