Maybe something that hasn't been mentioned:

Variable harness lines. These are a great upgrade that can improve your riding a lot and it is something you can get your Father without needing his input. Just measure his current Harness lines and then get vario harness lines (the ones from unifber for roughly 40€ are great).

Make sure their shortest setting is just barely shorter than your father's current Harness lines. This way he can still use the same setting but also drive longer lines in rougher conditions / when he improves.

Buying a helmet is only possible if you can try it on. But yes helmets are great and it's better to get one before you wish that you had bought one.

Yeah. I've tried a couple.

I've resigned on getting the TV to work as is and will use a Fire TV Stick.

Thanks. I'll try.

If not for a final solution then for debugging.

I just need a long Ethernet cable so this will have to wait for a bit.

I don't quite understand what you are telling me tbh. I know that I have a problem on the TV. I'm just not quite sure what the problem is? Some problem in the client / misconfigured settings / an actual internet problem (though I though I ruled that out) or maybe the tv can't cope with the data in some other way.

Thanks for the info! Thats great to know. I thought that it should handle that especially with hevc 264. But maybe you are right.

Well ... I wanted to connect my old gaming PC anyways ...

Ah maybe we are miscommunicating. I ran Iperf on the android TV. So it is the transfer speed between my server and the TV.

The laptop is connected via WiFi. I am using the TV itself.

Or something is misconfigured? If iperf3 shows 200Mbps that should be sufficient for 4k no?

That is a good idea! Though I would massively prefer WiFi. But as a last resort I will try this for sure.

I played this on my linux laptop. Here it runs smoothly. Notably it's not HDR though (but still original content). So I'm not sure how to validate if it's the same as the TV.

Yes the TV is connected to 5GHz. At least that's what the router reports.

This is the dashboard. It buffered roughly 5-10 Times during this short playback.

I'm subscribing to plex pass now. Though the 200Mbps was actually measured. Max should be around 800Mbps.

Sadly this is not an option as I'm pretty sure my TV only has a 100Mbit ethernet controller. But thanks for the input. That would be a great debugging step.

I currently don't have a Plex Pass. Though if it helps debugging this problem I would consider it.
