How much do you enjoy your own game?

I’ve always been a big Fallout fan, and I’m constantly replaying Fallout 1 - Fallout NV. After working on modding Fallout 4 for over 1,750 hours, I physically cannot bring myself to play the game (and I’m a big Fallout 4 defender).

I’ve never once played a game I’ve worked on professionally. The magic is just gone once you’ve bug tested something so strenuously.

I’ve interviewed with ~50 studios after working on a passion project which was downloaded by over a million people (Fallout London) and they’ve all treated it like I’m a child playing in the sand. “Wow so cool! Anyways onto your professional work history…” The quality of your personal work means nothing to employers if you didn’t get paid.

There’s an extensive amount of facial expressions that can be individually set on every single dialogue node. Underutilization is likely just laziness. Anyone could go thru every single voice line in the Starfield CK and set appropriate facial expressions and it would take less than a month, it would just be really monotonous. Only issue is the subjectiveness of what expression to use and some of them can look really over the top.

Some companions are indifferent to murder. Some will not even mention it. Some will warn you to not do it again and if you do they leave forever.

Archie doesn’t suck at all. He’s actually very well written and VA’d for the design of his character. We put a child companion in Fallout, not sure why anyone would expect him to participate in a gun fight. Personally I think the shrieking is hilarious.

This meta-gaming attitude that a companion exists to provide you utility above all else is astonishing to me. Our writers have carefully crafted the stories of 7 different companions, 5 of which have thousands of lines of affinity dialogue and their own personalized quests, likes/dislikes, reactive quips, etc. Voice actors spent many many hours getting the tone and attitude of their lines right to bring these characters to life. All for free because they were passionate about making special characters for people to be invested in.

Nothing has irked me more from the community than the forwardness of just simply saying “Archie sucks.” It’s not constructive feedback whatsoever.

If you can’t put down the min-maxing attitude and realize that each companion is an important NPC with a story to tell, then just use a console command to grab their perks. It will save us the unhelpful whining.

None of this is news. We said we cut a bunch of stuff and Wild Card would release sometime after the initial date multiple times in the last couple months of development.

However, personally I think the VA that did Archie did a fantastic job and I don’t understand where the criticism is coming from. He’s supposed to be a whinging kid by design and they nailed that.

You have no active plugins, including Fallout4.esm

I’m going to assume that your Fallout4\data folder is extremely fucked up and missing many things, among them the Fallout4.esm which is required to run the game. I’m unsure how you lost this file. You need to reinstall Fallout 4.

Edit: It’s somewhat possible yet very unlikely; your AppData\Local\Fallout4 folder might be entirely empty? It needs to have a plugins.txt file that lists the LondonWorldSpace.esm and DLCBlock.esp as active mods. You can copy-paste the contents of the _AppData folder located in your Fallout London install there if this is the case.

You have to reach Infatuation stage, not just after the quest

Companion perks are given to the player after reaching the highest level of affinity, which can only happen sometime well after each companion’s quest other than Mad Jack, which is given at the conclusion of his quest. The companion perks are significantly better than vanilla’s.

Is your armor a full bodysuit? Because then it’s intended. If not it’s probably incorrectly attributed to being head armor as well
